Elected officials can still do a lousy job
by Rick Lariviere to Sooke News Mirror May 9, 2001

"They’re our ‘elected’ officials. Let them do their job." (Letters, Sooke News Mirror, May 2).

What if they’re doing a lousy job? Do we sit quietly watching on the sidelines until their term is up? Obviously, WRATH is not a fringe group and has a large coterie of supporters.

Elected officials should be accountable and it’s people who make up groups like WRATH who are the watchdogs and voices for the silent majority.
