When referring to Patagonia, you are speaking about the southern area of Argentina mostly notable for the fast pampas region of treeless plains that resemble the African Savannah. However, the main characteristic of Patagonia is its huge contrast of topography. The western border of Patagonia is the obvious Andes mountain range. Along that range many glacier formed lakes dot the Chillean-Argentinian border.
The latest installment of SOTN plans to immerse 16 onliners in the culture of this historical area and plant their minds on the edge of the lake, Nahuel Huapi, Jaguar's Island.
The temperatures near the lake, shadowed by the snow capped Andes say much cooler than the pampas region further east. |
