Inserting Help

After you have the sound file you want on your page you will need to make it play on your page, there are several HTML tags you can use but we are gonna use the simplest ones for now because they are a lot smaller and easier to understand.

I recommend using a cross-browser tag so that any visitors will hear it because some browsers wont be able to use the tags, so the simplest cross browser tag is:

hidden="false" AUTOSTART="TRUE" HEIGHT="0" WIDTH="0">

The above tag will work with all browsers. (for help inserting see Inserting below).

Ok now copy it to the clip board
(highlight the text and press "Ctrl + C at the same time)
Then go to the file manager
http://www.oocities.org/members/tools/file_manager.html
And login , once you logged in click the check box by the HTML file you want the music in and then go down the page some and you will see a group of buttons, under those you will see a pull-down-menu click it and select
"Advanced HTML Editor" then go back up to the group of buttons and click "Edit", on the next page you will see a text box (better known as the edit box)
Look for the body tag and paste the tag you picked above under the body tag
(Paste by pressing "Ctrl" + V)
NOTE: be sure to change the name in the tag to the name of the sound file)
Once done click the "Save" button and view your page, it should start playing, if it didn't then go here and read it, if you still cant get it please contact a
Community Leader (CL) in your burb by going here and clicking your burb name, they will be able to help you further .
