All About Us

Our Brownie Unit meets in Southfields, in SW London (UK). Southfields is best known as the station you have to get off at to go to Wimbledon Tennis!

There are 24 Brownies in our unit, aged between 7 and 10. We have 4 sixes (groups of girls), they are the:

Gnomes

Imps

Pixies

Elves

We also have a

for girls who are 9 1/2 +

The Senior Six plan their own activites around the theme of each Brownie night.

We have 4 leaders; Brown Owl, Laughing Owl, Grey Owl and Snowy Owl.

A Little Bit of History.

Brownies started in 1914 but 9th Southfields Brownies didn't start until 1957. We are going to be having our 50th birthday soon! Our Brown Owl started with us in 2000, and our other leaders joined soon after.
