Opposites day right? Well, I realized this morn that my stuff for class was at the Boldens. So I had to grab my bag & head over there by myself this morn.. booked it over there, grabbed the stuff, and started back.... In a way it was good because now I def know that I can do it.. Pero on the way back...... when I passed the Post office.. (where the green flies hangout) a guy yelled out "where's your man?" That cracked me up (until later when Amy told me that people prob think that I'm Richard's second, after Amy....... uggg NO.. no offense pero not my type or my thing) So I keep going... & a guy walks up to me and askes "How much are you selling for?" At first I didn't realize what he meant.. I literally thought - I'm not selling anything what is he talking about.. then it hit me & I got ticked.. Kept walking.. Didn't make two more steps when another guy walkes by & asks the same in Kiswahili "Bei gani" GRRRRR
Got to the hostel & found Amy sitting outside with an apologetic look on her face as she told me that school got canceled due to a meeting being held.. We called it a snow day! (as it's literally snowing as I'm typing now lol) NEways, we visited w/ students & got invited to a girls house Saturday.
Later to Shafik's, while Amy was there I went to look at gift shop. Detour to Hole in Wall were their are Cadburry eggs!!!!!!!!!!!! Ate at Kinderoko... good food.. long wait... Girls went to Saida's to seeabout leg waxing... Second lunch.. Indian food.. YUM...
Heath told me about a Qu'ran he saw for 10,000, hardback all Arabic... I went & got it for 7000... is really nice. I'm excited bout that... .I have to learn Arabic!!!! The guy that sold it to me asked if I'm interested in becoming Muslim... I told him the truth, that I'm just learning about it & have friends that are. On way back from there had a disgusting incounter w/ a bug that flew in my mouth :S
