Countdown 'til CTBS

CTBS is only six weeks away. We are working hard in class to make sure that our students do well. Your child  will be bringing home CTBS practice sheets for homework. Please review these homework assignments with  your child, then place them in a  'CTBS' folder. At least 5 times per week, your child should take just  a few minutes to look over these sheets.  You can help your child focus on these CTBS skills by  'quizzing' him or her once a week. This process will  help your child in class, and on the test, as it will keep these important skills  'fresh' in his or her mind.

Please be sure to visit our classroom website .  There you can link to our monthly newsletter, find  out about CTBS, fieldtrips, our classroom communications page,  some of our technology integrated lessons, and so much more. Pay particular attention to the link entitled CTBS Practice. There you can link to activities, worksheets, and games that all support CTBS practice skills and curriculum objectives.  . As an added bonus, from now until CTBS testing, students will also receive classroom incentives for completed assignments. Also, please don't forget to sign our guestbook.

Our fieldtrip is on Wednesday, February 5th.

We are very excited about our upcoming fieldtrip. In honor of Black History Month, we will be going to the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly MD to see a musical performance by Ron Brown and  Ensemble Performers. Our thanks to the chaperones for your support. Please remember to bring a bagged lunch
