| the 90s and today.. All in all, the 90s were pretty good to me. Through a combination of good luck and some hard work, I was able to get a series of fascinating jobs (see the career section for more) with a communications focus. I love writing and editing, and feel blessed at the ever-evolving and ever-stimulating journey I seem to be on professionally. I also began my love affair with travel, visiting new places with ever-greater frequency as each year passed (although I'm trying to pace myself a little better these days). And, I tried a number of hobbies and activities, in my spare time, from music (does anyone remember my old band, Edge?), to learning about new countries and cultures, with even a bit of modelling thrown in. And even the odd difficulty, such as a difficult relationship in the mid-90s, only helped, I think, to make me a stronger and (I hope) wiser person in the long run. I like to think that your state of mind and where you're at in life is reflected by the people you attract into you life. If so, then I think things really began to take off for me in the mid- to late-nineties, given the wonderful people I have met during that time, and that I continue to meet. During the past five or six years, I've continued to travel extensively (especially after leaving New Zealand to travel in 1998), and have made friends in many cities and countries, from New York to London to Geneva to Stockholm. I feel that I'm continuing to learn and grow and challenge myself and enjoy life, and intend to continue doing so. Ok, perhaps I'm getting a bit serious here, but it's from the heart.
