Book Contract Imminent
A contract to write a book on global warming is looking increasing likely after discussions with a major New York-based publisher resulted in agreement "in principle" on a deal. The book will consider the impact of global warming and solutions to the problem, particularly in the United States. Aimed at a wide audience, the book will consider the effects climate change will have on people's everyday lives, particularly the growing risks to their health and financial wellbeing.

The first draft of the book is scheduled for completion in September 2004, with publication likely the following year. A formal written contract is expected to be signed sometime in December 2003 (fingers crossed!!).

Meanwhile, in related news, a proposal for a book on globalization has also reportedly generated some interest with a different New York publisher, although no offer has yet been made.
