The whole gang at my birthday party

Luke, Daniel, Rebecca, moi (Stacey), Francesca and Rachel.

My first birthday away from South Africa, away from all my family and friends.

This was the first birthday I have ever celebrated without any of my cousins, Samantha, Gregory, Jason, Jessica, Leigh-Ann and Raymond.

I did have my new friends in England join me to celebrate. Luke and Daniel live across the road, Rebecca and Francesca attend Roedean UK with me and Rachel is Rebecca's sister.

It started with an afternoon party where we "decorated" the back garden. We also did a video conference with my friend Taryn and her family in South Africa. The video conference was during the time that I opened my presents and blew out my candles. We then had a real South African BRAAI with biltong too. All the South African goodies were bought from the South African shop in Newhaven, about 3 miles from our home.

Luke and Daniel then went home for the night and the girls stayed over for my sleepover. In the morning we were joined by the boys for a great Champagne breakfast. Obviously my mom didn't serve us champagne, instead we had a super grape juice and wonderful breakfast.
