Homework

Week 1

  • Write a brief description of your audience and goals.
  • Prepare a template for your web pages using structural tags examples in handout
  • Create a "flow chart" for your planned site. Remember that this can be changed as you need in the future. This will form the basis of the Navigation Plan for your site. | Sample |

Week 2

  • Create a "site organization layout" for your site. This will show how your pages will be organized on your site. This will form the basis for the URLs of your pages. | Sample |
  • Create a "color chart" for your site. Consider things such as background color, text colors, links, etc. But also any special colors you might use to highlight special things on your pages. | Sample |

Week 3

  • Visit some graphics archives. Choose some graphics you'd like to use on your pages. Save them to your hard drive so that you have ready access to them.
  • Or -- if you have the skill/software -- create a graphic or two for use on your site.
  • Or scan a photograph into your computer (copy shops often have scanners available).

Week 4

  • Create list
  • Create table
