| The bondo you see is just a skim coat to hide the seams. The connectors are made of 2x2 boxed steel. The front of the boxed steel slides inside the front subframe. They exit out the back of the subframe and make a slight jog outward. This lines them up with the rear subframe. Where the new connectors exit the existing subframe we added plates as seen in the center of the photo for added strenght. The new connectors enter the rear floor area 1/4" where your feet would go sitting in the rear seat. With underlayment, you will never notice this. The connectors are tied into the rear subframe with more side plates to make sure everything is tied together. |
