Part 3 - Windsprite // Friday, June 6, 2003 // 11:03 a.m.
As Terrin came to, he realized that the bandage on his hand was gone and that, strangely enough, the cut had disappeared.
"Odd..." he murmured as he inspected himself.
As though it hadn't been bad enough already, he looked around at his surroundings, and nearly yelped in surprise. "Where the clors am I? And what's a clors?" (we don't know either)
Instead of being snug in his room, surrounded by all his familiar things, he found himself deep in a forest. But the trees in this forest didn't look like any he had seen before. The leaves had a strange silvery tint to them, and their shape was just wrong.
To make things worse, his stomach began to rumble. He looked at his watch, wondering how long he had been out, only to discover that the numbers were going crazy.
"Wherever I am, I can't just stay here or I'll starve!" He muttered to himself and having that decided, he set out in search of... something, anything, that was even close to civilization.
Ever the logical kid, he stuck his arm out, pointed, closed his eyes and spun in a circle. When he opened his eyes (a little dizzy) he found himself pointing in the direction of the sun.
"Well, might as well walk this way.." So he started walking and, amazingly, after just an hour or so (during which his stomach continued to growl, sounding alarmingly like some wild animal) he came to the edge of the forest. And he could see in the distance the shadowy outlines of a city.
"Wow! Real people must live here... I wonder why there was nothing in that forest... hmmmm (rumble) *sigh* can't hurt to go check that place out." He said.
So our hero set out for the city, completely confused as to how he ended up in this strange world and a bit regretful that he'd been dragged there on an empty stomach. |
