"Terrin" he answered, mumbling around the pastry in his mouth. He completely forgot about the fact that the food was stolen when he realized that it was FOOD!
"Hey, this is good! Do you have anymore?"
"Sure, Terrin was it? Fill your boots! By the way, my name's Kenta," he answered, grabbing Terrin's hand and shaking it vigorously.
"Fill my boots?" he murmured as he was jostled up and down.
Just then, a heavy hand fell on Terrin's shoulder. He looked up into the face of one angry looking person.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here? A couple of thieves I s- Hey! Get back here!" He shouted as Kenta slipped away.
"What about me? You can't just leave me here!" Terrin shouted.
"See you later, Terrin!" Kenta shouted as he turned the corner.
"Be quiet, boy. You're coming with me. Stealing is a great offense in this city, as is disturbing the peace."
"Stealing?!" he sputtered. "Dis-Disturbing the peace? What are you talking about?"
In answer, the guard (Terrin had figured out that this was who he was from the uniform) shoved him in front of him, toward the castle that Terrin now noticed in the distance.
"Where are we going?"
"You, boy, are going to the dungeons!" |
