Sometimes in life, the most special things,
you are looking for, are right before your eyes.
Yet your eyes don't see what your heart already knows,
will you see the love there, before it passes and dies.
Or will you always wander through the rest of life,
asking yourself why did I not see what was before me.
One's eyes can be blind when the heart is at stake,
but to walk away from true love, would be a bigger mistake.
A heart of stone is awakening from a cold, lonely sleep,
learning again to love and laugh, forgetting to weep.
A heart so honest and pure, learning again to trust,

I'm dying inside and nobody knows it but me,
hiding away all of the pain from nobody to see.
Wondering where things went so very wrong,
for once again, I'm singingthe same sad song.
Looking for hope with a new sense of desperation,
wondering from where, will come my inspiration.
From all of the confusion, steps a dear friend,
I know how you feel, I too, have been there.
Tell me what you are thinking, what are your fears,
knowing that I'm listening, here to dry your tears.
Your life is in shambles, and seems so lost,
but to give up on you, is too high a cost.
I know the pain and the lonliness you feel,
but I am here, my friend, to help you to heal.
You were there to pick me up at my lowest moment,
without a hesitation, and without a comment.
You lent me your shoulder to lean on for strength,
your friendship cannot be measured by any length.
