Too Late For Love
Traveling down the lonely highway of regret,
wondering if the hurt I feel, I can ever forget.
For my heart, you didn't care, you chose neglect,
you couldn't see what you had, you didn't reflect.
It was gone before you knew, gone before you cared,
you wake up from you dream alone, cold and scared.
The reality you now see, you don't really like,
you didn't care until after my heart had taken flight.
My heart was broken apart, shattered on the floor,
my love for you has died, it will be nevermore.
It has become a memory, a thing of the past,
what a fool I was to think what we had could last.
I was bearing the burning of a secret storm,
while the entire time, feeling my life very torn.
My mind has been burning with so much blame,
it's time to move forward, the future holds no shame.
All the dreams we once shared, are now shattered,
what was once happiness, is nothing but tattered.
As you now make your wish on the stars up above,
the time has past, now and forever, Too Late For Love.

Trusting
Trust is not something given, it is earned,
a very hard lesson we all have learned.
The hardest thing to do is trust again,
where to start and where to begin.
Trust takes a lifetime to build and believe,
only takes a moment to break and deceive.
You start by building a foundation,
with bits and pieces of information.
Trust is not something to be used or played,
someone will be left feeling very betrayed.
Trust can be given to a lover, a friend, or a stranger,
knowing all along of the possible hidden danger.
To let someone in your heart, you must have trust,
without that special bond, it's nothing but lust.
Trust begins with honesty, and continues to grow,
in enters your heart, mind, and soul before you know.

Trust
Trust is a hard bond to build,
even harder to hold on to, to make last.
Takes a lifetime to build, only a moment to crush,
the promise you make, never trying to keep.
Trust is a precious gift, to give a lover or friend,
To make a beginning, to bring to an end.
You give away your heart with trust,
you get it back, broken, unjust.
Trust is a treasue we all possess,
unconditional is always the best.
