The Michael Marsh Interview
We caught up with Hampton Rovers youngest ever goalscorer Michael Marsh ahead of his first full season;
Marshy, welcome to HamptonRovers.co.uk
Your one of the new "youngsters" that Rovers are bringing through, how have you found your time so far?
Yeah it is a privilege to be involved in a fine team like Hampton rovers all the players have welcomed me and I hope 2 repay them will just good performances being welcomed like this has made me enjoy my short time ere
Marshy, your first game was against eventual Runners-Up Harris & Co. a bit of a tough debut, how did you find the step up from Junior football? and what do you think are the main differences?
Well to be honest I don’t really think there is much difference apart from the strength of the players is allot different
Chris Nay has made the same step up as you recently, and has scored a few goals. You being a year younger, do you look to him for advice and inspiration?
Yeah, I am good friends with Chris and he has helped me the best he can and now i will hopefully use his advice to help me take his place.
Is there anyone else in the squad that you look up to?
Well being a front man the obvious player would have to be Faber because of his work rate and his finishing is second to none, but there are some very good players in the squad.
What do you think of Lee Clayton? Is it time he hung up his boots?
I first saw Lee play whilst on holiday with him 3 years ago and from that moment I have always thought he was a Muppet and he should have hung his boots up years ago.
If you could set a personal target for the coming season? What would it be?
It would have to be establishing myself in the side because if i do that then i must be doing what I am there to do and that’s score goals.

The Chris Nay Interview
Hampton Rovers.co.uk is here with young striker Chris Nay. We too some time to ask the prolific striker a few questions about his short career at Rovers.
Hi Chris and welcome to Hampton Rovers.co.uk, how are you settling in to life at Hampton Rovers?
Life’s been great, the house that Hampton have given me is fantastic, and most of all my family is happy in the area
You’ve scored a lot of goals since signing for the Rovers, what do you put that down to?
I put it down to the service and the hard work from the team. I’ve also missed a few chances as well!
So how do you rate your new team mates?
A great set of lads
How do you feel you will fare next season, possibly in Division 1?
I am told Division 1 has some good teams, so all I can do is my best
And how far do you feel you can go personally?
To be honest I am not sure how far I can get, I would like to play at the top, as that is every players dream
As a striker, who do you base your play on?
I admire Alan Shearer but my hero is Ian Wright
It’s well known that you are good friends with Danny Whiteside. How would you feel lining up alongside him in a Rovers shirt?
On and off the pitch me and Danny are very good friends and it would be fantastic to line up alongside him in a Hampton shirt. We were strike partners at school level and we had a good combination as i played to his strengths and he played to mine. I wouldn’t like to have a race with him though!!!
How do you feel about the praise you've been receiving from your team mates and manager?
The praise has been good and I am very pleased, but I have to try to keep a calm head and not let it get to my head
Thanks Chris from Hampton Rovers.co.uk, and good luck for the future
The Scott Waters Interview
We caught up with Hampton Rovers top goalscorer Scott Waters ahead of some crucial league games;
HR.CO.UK: Hello Scott and welcome to hamptonrovers.co.uk.
Scott Waters: It's great to be here!
HR.CO.UK: So far so good, your lying second in the table, how'd you think it's gone so far?
Scott Waters: Quite Well
HR.CO.UK: And what are your hopes for the second half of the season?
Scott Waters: Promotion to Division One is everyone's aim.
HR.CO.UK: Any Personal targets??
Scott Waters: I am going for top goalscorer in the league. As for the amount of goals, I am aiming for at least 27.
HR.CO.UK: You have some massive games coming up. Do you set points targets, say for the next three matches.
Scott Waters: We are aiming for nine out of nine!
HR.CO.UK: This weekens you face KWS Brungrove, they turned you over early on in the season, can you get revenge this Sunday?
Scott Waters: Watched five minutes of there game against KRC on Sunday and I'd like to think we have nothing to fear.
HR.CO.UK: What about the other teams around us in the league at the moment, KRC for example?
Scott Waters: KRC should not be a threat. We have beaten them three times this season....Enough Said!
HR.CO.UK: The Reserves have had a great start to the season, would you say they are better than the "first" team?
Scott Waters: Yeah they are doing great, they are a good side with some good players. We are playing in a more competitive league, but there doing very well.
HR.CO.UK: Finally, in the long term, where would you like to see yourself, football wise??
Scott Waters: I want to be playing alongside Wayne Rooney at Everton. He is what we are all aiming to be.
HR.CO.UK: So when are you expecting Everton to spot you?
Scott Waters: Well, you know, Top scorer and all. They come knocking!
HR.CO.UK: Ok Scott, thanks again for your time and good luck for the remainder of the season.

The William Watt Junior Interview
Hampton Rovers star Lee Morton decided to turn the tables on the clubs 'Press Officer' and right winger William Watt jnr. And here's what happened;
HR.CO.UK: Hello Will and welcome to hamptonrovers.co.uk.
Will: It's great to be here!
HR.CO.UK: So, what are your views on the clubs first half of the season?
Will: Incosistancy is the best way to sum Cuthies up so far this season. Our results have greatly depended on which team turn up on the day. We can be likened to Chelsea, unstoppable on our day, horrible off it. However, the new name spells a new era, and long may our 100% record continue.
HR.CO.UK: And what are your hopes for the second half of the season?
Will: Our aim this season was promotion, nothing has changed in my eyes. We have the whole of our season in our own hands. The next two months are the biggest in our clubs short history.
HR.CO.UK: Who do you think are Rovers biggest rivals for promotion?
Will: I'd have to say our old rivals St Annes Ex-Servicemen, they are my tip for the league. However, I believe that one of the best sides in our league is KRC. We managed to beat them twice earlier on in the season but not many have beaten them since. Our victories against them showed what a strong side we can be.
HR.CO.UK: The rise of St Cuthberts / Hampton Rovers has almost mirrored that of St Annes, how far do you think the 2 clubs can go?
Will: Both teams can go all the way. The one thing that favours ourselves is our age. St Annes are slightly older which in the short term will make them a better bet to reach the Premier League. However, Hampton Rovers will get there, mark my words!
HR.CO.UK: And what of the Reserve side?
Will: The potential in the reserves is amazing, lead by Captain Jordan Black, their 'scouting' and ‘attracting’ skills must be up there with Mamma's! Once they start to climb the league they will attract all of the best players. And there new kit will make sure everyone knows about it!
HR.CO.UK: OK. Now for a conroversial question, which of the 2 sides do you think would fare better in the top division?
Will: At the present time, I think we would both struggle. We are working our way up the leagues so that we will be ready when we reach the Premier. We are only 3 years into our 5 year plan.
HR.CO.UK: And what does the 5 year plan contain?
Will: Premier league football, but most importantly, improvement. Since we started just over two seasons ago, we've made massive improvements on and off the pitch, it's vital that this is continued.
HR.CO.UK: Would the league allow for both sides to be in the Premier League should the problem arise?
Will: I am not 100% sure at this time as we have bigger issues to think about this season. However, I'd imagine that both teams would be allowed to play.
HR.CO.UK: As a player, what would your personal ambition with Rovers be?
Will: To continue to improve. In the long term, I'd love to win a league. The time and effort that the management put into the team is often not reflected on a Sunday. I'd love to see the Reserves win there next three games and therefore win the title. As for the first team, promotion is far more important.
HR.CO.UK: Ok Will, thanks again for your time and good luck for the remainder of the season.

Why do you think you spent most of last season on the bench at Clifton?
Well after my injury, I was not given a chance, mainly due to Ian Craddock and Dave Marsland liking of Steve Horne and Matty Clues, they also did not like my casual play!

EXCLUSIVE:
Waters Has Swipe at Management!
In a recent interview, St Cuthberts left midfielder slammed Billy Watt's decision to select himself for a recent match against SEG. Waters said "I think Billy should stick to management and hang up his playing boots for good!". This is sure to place Waters in deep water with his boss. Billy Watt replied by saying "I believe that I was right in replacing Scott with myself for that game, my decision was backed up by the fact that I scored within eight minutes of my debut"
Also in this exclusive interview Waters criticised his team mates by suggesting that they were not up to winning the division four championship, he said "There should be eleven Scott Waters in the side, with that we would win the prem". And when asked about claims that he is too greedy and does not get back enough, he said "I think there just jealous"
