a fresh perspective on being a stepkid.

If you are still having trouble understanding my articles, the following metaphor is a great way of demonstrating how to be a good stepdad.

Recently I realised what it’s like to be a stepkid. It all happened when our new boss began work at our company.  I really liked my old boss. I was sorry to see him go. I didn’t like the way he was treated by head office. He left on bad terms. Head office found a replacement within a week It wasn’t surprising that I wasn’t too receptive to this usurper. If you’ve ever read Hamlet, you’ll know what I’m talking about.  I didn’t like the new boss’s clothes. His moustache really pissed me off. Our first day was hell. We both knew we were stuck with each other. The next day I ready to go toe-to-toe with him about a few issues. I walked into the office and I could feel a fresh calm in the air. My new boss’s approach was more quiet, relaxed. He called me aside and he reversed the previous days turmoil. The language he used and his body language implied an equality that was missing before. From then on we worked as a team.
