| ~*~6/30/02~*~ Wow..so much has went on this past week..lemme recall on everything that's happened.. Friday night..YOUTH GROUP...haha...rather interesting...Billie, Karen, and Alice led worship...I thought they did good...haha it was funny how BIllie kept saying sorry for each time she messed up playing the guitar...but it was still good...at first Karen picked 6 songs to sing since she thought no one would really take part in the Dating Discussion..but wow was she wrong... Here's what I learned: "Don't date for fun..cuz its not worth the hurt and pain..think of a relationship as a box of chocolates...each person u date..u give away a piece of ur chocolate..the more u date..the more u give away ur purity...and by the time u get married..all u have..is the remainder of a full box of chocolates that u once had..when all this time u could have saved them for that ONE special someone" Ok this wasn't the exact quote that Simon's wife said...but if u don't like that one try Mike Chang's message "think of it as superglue..we all have different bottles..there's a bottle of glue repressenting holding hands..another bottle representing kissing...and hugging..and so on and so forth...so anwyays..u have ur glue of holding hands..and when u put them together..it makes..SUPERGLUE..hahaha....(no one actually laughed when he said this..but its ok..he had a point) =) but when u realize that things don't work out..u have to rip the "glues" apart...and what does it form?? scars..yeah..some heal..but others don't...and before u know it..u give ur glue away to other people..and u realize..it doesn't stick as well as it did before..why?? becuz u've given something away to someone else..and it diluted the stickiness of the glue..and by the time u get married..all u give that ONE person...is the remainder of what u once had..." Haha I hope this makes sense to u all...but I thought that it was a really good message But..if all else fails...Eric Chang's message is "if you're dating..STOP!! STAY AS SINGLE AS LONG AS YOU CAN!" hahahaha Saturday...went to see Billy Graham...it was good..I actually expected Billy Graham to speak longer than 20 mins..but he's getting old..so u can't blame him...it was amazing to see all those people though...actually...it seemed like there coulda been more..and that stupid plane flying the boycott cincinnati...what was up with that?!! GRRRRR...haha Pete didn't like how Kirk Franklin (i think that was him) was talkin about how white guys can't dance..hahahahaa....=) its ok pete...and wow..GO FREDRICA AND JEREMY!!!! I didn't expect to see them on that big screen! haha...that was amazing.... =) |
