When I first saw Chloe in the show (Jaggle Bells) - I thought she was so cute and adorable. She still is and she's much much more. Hey she can see through Harm and Mac's relationship - what can I say other than that she's wise beyond her years. I just wanted to give you my input about the show. Ok, I'm sorry for all those long-time fans out there that started out loving the Harm/Meg relationship (I started watching Season 3) because I must say that out of the 3 JAG partners that Harm has had - Mac is still the best one even though she's not perfect. I've watched I think close to all the episodes through season 5 ( I may have missed a few in season 1). I've tried watching Meg but I must say - I think Mac is better. Maybe it's because she has to call him "sir" all the time. There's not much of the courtroom battle scenes that you see between Mac and Harm whether they're on the same side or on opposing sides. I just think that the Harm/Mac dynamics is much more. Anyways I just had to get that off my chest since it seems that a lot of people just hate Mac right now. I know a lot of the viewers out there just love Meg but I'm all for Mac. She's Harm's equal (which means she should be winning more cases but that's another comment for later).
Best Episode of the Fifth Season-
Hmmm .... I'd have to say either Boomerang/Ghosts of Christmas Past/ or Surface Warfare. As you can see two out of 3 are in the shipper realm (Boomerang -when they were on the ferry and Surface Warfare - the LOOK, enuff said). Ghosts of Christmas Past is just plain funny, how can one not love that episode - almost everyone was in it (Harriet as Phyllis Diller was just hilarious).
Boomerang - now I know some people may not like it as I've seen on various message boards and comments but I still like it. More of the relationship between those two were brought to the surface. What was upsetting was that Harm just couldn't - in Mac's words - "just let go". But then I shouldn't be complaining - usually when the main two characters get together it means the end of the show (ie Lois & Clark, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman). I just hope that when the show does have to finally come to an end - they will have a wedding episode -cause I just love wedding episodes (gorgeous gowns and everything - well seeing DJE in dress whites - hopefully a military wedding -doesn't hurt either.)
Surface Warfare - well, Brumby coming back was just a big surprise - I knew something was going to happen but I just didn't think it would be that. The LOOK! - that's what propelled this episode into shipper heaven - come on - how else can you explain that look other than Harm also has feelings for Mac but is just to righteous to act on them.
Favorite Character -
I'd have to say - Harm AND Mac. If either of them died then the show would be no more (at least that's the case for me.) They both have their strong points, especially Harm (I definitely wouldn't mind if he defended me- I'd be very very cooperative ^_^). I definitely don't have to explain myself about why Harm is one of my favs. He just is. He stands for truth, justice and the American way (now where did that come from).
Now Mac, - I like her character because it is so different from other female leads. She's had sooooo many setbacks (including the guys she's dated - ie Bugme - she really needs to ditch him), but she's always found a way to make it back. The only thing I wish they could have done with her character is to make her win some cases against Harm - not just by default (ie Harm found out his client is guilty, or some ethical issue).
Funniest Character -
Definitely Bud - although the Gunny and Tiner are starting to become really funny too. Bud and his jaw, Bud and his weird ways (including his interest in the paranormal). He is a great comic relief.
Favorite Shipper Episode -
Currently it's the 5th season's finale - I'm telling ya - the LOOK that passed between them is something to be thinking about. I can't wait for next season to see if Harm ditches Renee (the video princess as Mac calls her) and if Mac lets Mic (ie Gumby as known by Harm) down (nicely though - I feel bad for him if she just ditches him!!).
Favorite Funniest Episode -
It's a toss up between Jaggle Bells and Ghosts of Christmas Past. As you can see - I guess I just have something for Christmas eps. Anyways with Chloe - things are always funny !! Ghosts of Christmas Past with Harm Sr.(as played by Harm Jr) and Jenny Lake (as played by Mac - hair was really fake but hey nobody's perfect) was really funny. Hey I just loved the admiral and what's this about Palmer being the good guy - geez!!! Great episode though!!!
