Reflecting God's Love In the World
"You are the letter, written in our
hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared
for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of
stone, but on tablets of human hearts. And such confidence we have through Christ
toward God." (2 Cor. 3:2-4)
The member's of St. John's seek only
to further the work of Jesus Christ in the world. In that effort we welcome all who
seek God, and the love of Christ in their life.
St. John's was established in
Wheeling, West Virginia in 1836 and was the first German Evangelical Protestant Church in
the Community. (See the history of the Church). We are
excited about what God is doing in our Church. We are working hard at reestablishing
connections with a changing community through innovative settings and worship, local
mission, youth puppet ministry, and family activities.
Come join our Church Family in
morning worship and catch the excitement of a church moving into a new millennium.
"Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the
Holy Spirit." (Matt. 28:19)
