Intramural Basketball is open to all children of the 
St. Linus Parish.

Boy & Girls Grades 1st through 4th. 

Sign-ups are scheduled for February 9th & 16th 
following the 10:00 mass in the activities room. 

Cost is $40.00 per player.

Practice will be on Thursdays & Fridays starting on Thursday Feb. 27th @ Kinloch. Coaches will be calling their teams in the next week.

Rules
· Standard Basketball Rules (no walking with the ball, no double dribbling, no pressing, no double teaming the ball…)

Dribbling – 10 mins.
· Right Hand
· Left Hand
· Right Hand to Left Hand
· Turning the right way
· Body between ball and defender

Passing – 10 mins.
· Chest Pass
· Bounce Pass
· Over head Pass
· All 3 passes moving down the court

Shooting – 10 mins.
· Right hand lay up
· Left hand lay up
· Jump stop shot
· Free throws

Defensive Rebounding – 5 mins.
· Box out
· Cover up
· Pass the ball to a guard or dribble out

Offensive Rebounding – 5 mins.
· Box out
· Put rebound back up or pass out

Positions – 5 mins.
· Guard 
· Forward
· Center

Defense – 7 mins.
· 2-1-2 (No Man to Man)
· Hands up
· Defensive Rotation
· No double teaming the ball

Offense - 7 mins.
· 1-3-1
· Spread
· Protect the ball
· Move when you don't have the ball, 
  Come to the ball for a pass
· Dribble out of trouble
· Cut to the basket after a pass
· Look for a open shot
