Blindfold Unknown

This unknown wears a blindfold over his eyes. He is seen in both "Another side, Another Story" and Deep Dive, standing on top of the featured building.

Because of Tetsuya Nomura's official statement regarding "Another Side, Another" that one of the characters was Riku, almost everyone assumes that this unknown is the true keyblade master, Riku himself, or at least a shell of him. When Ansem inhabits Riku's body, he is flooded with light and shields his eyes as though it is just too bright for this person consumed with darkness. Many think, that perhaps, this is the purified form of that body and through the process that the light blinded him. Is it now just an empty shell free of the dark king's presence? Or has Riku's heart wandered back and found it's original home?

This comparison shows the similarities between the blindfolded unknown and Riku. The blindfold on the right was added to see what Riku's official art would look like with the article of clothing in mention. The resemblance is startling. The hair type and color is exactly the same.
