Welcome to Saint Raphael the Archangel Parish,
located in Manchester,
New Hampshire's historic Westside. We are the first Benedictine
mission in New England, established in 1888.
Our caring and dedicated parishioners are actively engaged in Christ's mission
of love and service. Generations of families have shared the blessings of
God here at Saint Raphael through works within our community of faith and
among our neighbors. At the heart of our mission is the insight of Saint
Benedict, expressed in his Holy Rule, "ut in omnibus glorifectur Deus"-
"that in all things God may be glorified." (RB 57:9)
Saint Raphael
the Archangel is a tithing parish and each of us meant to offer a 10% contribution
of time, treasure and talent for the good of our church, our neighbor, and
the glorification of God.
We hope you will enjoy our website and learn more about our mission. And
we welcome you to join us in our loving work.
WESTSIDE CLUSTER
NEWS
Saint Raphael is a member of the Diocese's Westside Cluster. The cluster
is headed by a taskforce to study the future of our faith communities in
the year 2012. The taskforce consists of parishioners and pastors from the
member churches. The findings of the board will be sent to the Diocean office
for review and prayerful consideration.
This Word
document outlines the proposed future of Saint Raphael and Saint Patrick
parishes. We encourage you to read it and share it with your family. And
we ask you to pray for the Cluster and for vocations everywhere.
