I hope this note find you all ding well, and know that I'm thinking of you. I need a favor from all of you, if you can help me I need you.

Things have progressed to the point where I'll be needing to put a touring band together in the near future. I need help putting one together. The message below is a "press release" I'm using at present, please post it where you can, if you can. Just asking around for me would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Just like the subject says, I need a group for playing out. Signed with Dreamscape Music Group, a new indie label fronted by former head of Z Records US. My debut CD is being released worldwide at retail stores and the internet.

I'm a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, and will need a Drummer, Bassist, Guitarist and Keyboardist to complete group. Paid gigs opening for established recording artists around these areas: KY,TN,OH,IL, and elsewhere (mostly weekends). Also a gig at Ultrasound 2001 being held in L.A.

All interested must have own equiptment and transportation. I live in the Lexington, KY area and you must be willing to relocate if nescessary. If things go well, group will have a chance to record the next CD with me.

FIREWORKS MAGAZINE-

FIREWORKS is a new magazine 100% dedicated to melodic rock. Issue 1 will be released in July and contains interviews with Crown Of Thorns, Fair Warning, Phil Vincent,Two Fires, Vaughn, Danger Danger, Firehouse, Kane Roberts, Bonfire, Hugo, Change of Heart, Stan Bush, Marcie Free, Casanova, as well as many album reviews and a look at some of the rising stars of the underground scene by Strutters very own Gabor Kleinbloesem and Nicky Baldrian.

Cover CD of issue 1 includes an exclusive track from the new Ten album "Babylon", as well as tracks from Lost Weekend, Brian McDonald, Kharma, Radar, Shang-Hai, Attraction, Alex Masi, Clear Blue, Phil Vincent, Lars Eric Mattson, Urban Tale, Hit The Ground Running and upcoming Spanish band Far From Eden.

EDITOR:

The editor of the magazine will be Bruce Mee, who for 4 years in the early 90's edited Boulevard Magazine, one of the original, great melodic rock fanzines. Since then, Bruce and his fellow Boulevard team of Mark Ashton and Peter Sims have created Now & Then Records, Europe's first and foremost independent melodic rock label. Bruce brings over 10 years of dedicated experience to the Fireworks team.

DESIGN & LAYOUT:

Design and layout will be executed by award winning artist Sebastian Kozak, the man behind many of the covers on the independent scene, including Ten, Crown of Thorns and Casanova amongst others.

WRITERS:

The writers for Fireworks include such well respected names in the genre as Rob Evans (Hard Roxx), Dave Cockett (Hard Roxx & Powerplay), Kieran Dargan (Raging Heart), Paul Diamond (Raging Heart), Eva Montes (Fan & Zine - Spain), Nicky Baldrian & Gabor Kleinbloesem (Strutter Fanzine), Petra Rottmann (Breakout - Germany) and the Bailey Brothers (MTV/Metal Hammer).

This is another outdoor festival, although on a smaller scale. Camping is available on site.

A2 RECORDS - Press release of the UK label...

John Taglieri Signed at Ultrasound

A2 Records have announced that they have agreed a deal with New Jersey artiste John Taglieri after seeing him play live at Ultrasound 2000 in Las Vegas.

John played an acoustic set by the poolside in 110 degrees, and performed a duet with new label mate, Robin Brock. Following in depth conversations at the Hard Rock in Vegas (!) A2 have agreed a licensing deal for his current album, ³Leap Of Faith², and will see the album released officially in the US and Europe in July 2000.

So far, John has received a huge amount of great coverage within the media, particularly through the web, and is currently wowing the British press.

A2 Records will announce some more new signings shortly.

A2 Records are pleased to announce the signing of their newest act, 400 Horses.

400 Horses

Britain has long needed a rock band to bring the fun back into Rock Œn¹ Roll, a British Guns N Roses or Aerosmith, and now they have one in the form of 400 Horses.

400 Horses is the brainchild of Allan Fisher (keyboards & Drums) and Mark Beale (Guitars) who apparently met over a nice girl in a low budget porn movie, but refuse to talk about this. The two Birmingham based musicians have always lived the rock lifestyle, and have suffered for their art. Not only has Allan had to build his own drum kit in the past, but a helpful singer in a previous band blew it up for him, whilst he was playing it! They had thought that it would make a good special effect to put 12 maroons and other various explosive items under a dustbin lid, under the drum riser. At the end of a drum solo the fuse was ignited, and the riser rose! Allan was left with a broken arm and stitches ... but an amazing finale.

Mark has also been a rock star all of his life, and has been sacked from many a job for refusing to cut his waist length blonde hair, and then as soon as the band were given their record deal, he had it cut! Go figure? Mark is a great guitarist, and he is able to play his guitar with his teeth and behind his back, although we are assured that this is not at the same time.

They are able to call on the talents of some very good musicians to complete the 400 Horses line up, including Daz Stonehouse on Vocals, who apparently can blag anything he wants for the benefit of the band, and Nathan Rose on bass, a very educated musician with two music degrees, and the Musicians Union Award for the most promising songwriter 1998, and BBC Young composer of the year 1998 . They have also been known to employ the services of a full brass section to enhance their live sound.

The debut album, ³400 Horses² is released on A2 Records on June 26th.

GARY SCHUTT - Gary Schutt video project is turning into a HUGE project "the video is turning into a huge project. i need to finish shooting stuff for Animal Man" explains Gary,"Traumatized and Donut are done. I'm making a video compilation that will have about 5 music vids from Playthings, a collage of Berklee concerts and some other goodies. it's just taking forever because I have to rely on other people for certain things, where as the music recording I do entirely myself. I'll keep you informed on the progress".

ALYSON AVENUE - Alyson Avenue have agreed a deal with AOR HEAVEN.

MTM NEWS - A.C.T. are working on their second album.

LONDON DRIVE - Lisa and Barbara Bowman will sing on the new London Drive album, Carl has left the band due to family commitments.

PEACE AND QUIET - The band are still are going concern and playing various gigs at a local level. The band hope to still record more material in the future.

HOTWIRE - Hotwire have recorded a new six-track cd ! The band will have completed the mixing by the time you read this and hope to have wrapped everything up by the beginning of July with a release pencilled in for August.

UFORIA - The band have recently purchased lots more studion equipment from which they will be able to produce their own cd's. Uforia have also had a bunch of songs in the can for a while and have decided "that it would be much better if we just mixed it all ourselves." says main man Henri Virkler.

JOSHUA - A source close to Joshua Perahia last heard that he had a deal with a record label to release his past catalog of CD's. Joshua hasn't done anything new with music since disbanding M'PIRE three years ago. The band featured vocalist Michael O'Mara from new Frontiers singings TALON. Joshua has become heavily involved with the church and is very bitter about the music scene. M'PIRE apparently recorded an
unreleased second album.

MARS ELECTRIC - The response to the bands debut "Beautiful Something" in Europe has been awesome. The band are set to follow this up with a set of shows throughout Europe and will include the UK on their tour, after which they will start recording for their second album.

STEF BURNS - The former Y AND T guitarists solo album "Swamp Tea" is now available and is totally awesome.

BRAZEN ABBOT - The release of "Nostradamus" has been put back for at least six months, Nik told me that everything is fine and that an American production company is interested in working with Nostradamus.There will be a film and live production.

LONDON DRIVE - The band are still in the studio working on their second album.

SLAV SIMANIC - The amazing Canadian virtuoso who looks set to do what Vai and Satch did in the eighties and was last heard shredding on the Z Records 24 K release has recently been recording in Japan for the Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana tribute albums. Slav is also working on material for his new album with 24K frontman Phil Naro who also guested on Slav's debut "Water Of Life" The album will feature 8 vocal tracks and 6 instrumentals. Slav has also gained himself a licensing deal in Japan. They will release "Water Of Life" this year with two bonus tracks and the date for the new album for Japanese market is January next year. X FACTOR X - The amazing US hard rockers are still working on their second record.

MTM MUSIC - The reactions for the just released KHARMA album is nothing but awesome. The band is getting some coverage in the press in their homeland (Sweden) and also lots of interest and positve vibes from rest of the world. Some radiostations have picked up the title track from the bands album "Wonderland". It seems like there some big demand for a band like Kharma to bring on the heritage of Styx, Quuen and Kansas into the new millennium.

The new JOE LYNN TURNER album is going to be titled "Holy Man". Look out for it this summer.

First reactions to the STORYTELLER album has been great. "Corridor Of Windows" has been in the making for quite some time, so we are very happy to announce about the release. Anyone into classic pompus and orchestrated AOR with plenty of guitar and keyboard interplay will get a kick out of this album, then also add the monster hooks and harmonies. 5 of the albums 12 songs were produced by Jeff Glixman (Kansas, ELO, Yngwie) and the rest were controlled and produced by Storyteller leader Stephen Teller who made a superb job in creating nothing but a classic sound.

HOUSE OF SHAKIRA´s muched awaited new album "Three" will be released June 26th.

ELEMENTS OF FRICTION's debut is just about to be finished and will be set for release in early September. Ricky Phillips has just finished the background vocals where him and Robin MacAuley were joined by David Glen Eisley. The album will be mixed by Ricky and Tony Phillips.

ALFONZETTI´s debut album "Ready" will be scheduled for an August release and the album is being mastered at the Polar Studio in Stockholm this week. Frontman and leader Matti Alfonzetti reports:
- I am very pleased with the result and I think we made a very balanced album with both hard hitting rockers like the title track, "No Way Out" and album lead off song "Blowing Up Detroit", there is also some superb FM Rock/commercial hardrock tunes like "Better Than Goodbye", "Out In The Cold" and we´ve got some great ballads. In all I think we have a very strong debut on our hands...

DANNY DANZI/WHITE ALICE PROJECT - In a bizzare move Wayne Davies from New Jersey's hard rockers White Alice Project is now officially the new bass player in Danzo's band, Wayne is an incredible musician and the two have often collaborated on material in the past, Strutter wishes Wayne all the very best of rock 'n roll luck.

ENSCHEDE - As you might have heard (or not) last week a terrible disaster happened in the Dutch city Enschede. A lot of people got killed because a fireworks storage exploded. RATT - Former Lynch Mob/Cry Of Love/Silent Witness frontman Robert Mason is sid to be in the line up for the bands new singer. Other candidates include Bang Tango's Joe Leste and Love/Hate's Jizzy Pearl.

THE REBIRTH OF ROCK -IRON MAIDEN/BON JOVI - Maiden's brand new single "The Wicker Man" entered the UK charts at number nine. Whilst Bon Jovi's new single "It's My Life" is galloping at an alarming rate in Holland's chart as well as other Euopean charts. Both bands new material sees them firmly back on form. So are Bon Jovi and Iron Maiden the bands to bring metal and hard rock back to where it stood in the eighties? Let's hope so.

SKID ROW - News from a source close to the band suggests that the bands new material with new boy John Solinger sees Skid Row even greater than before. The band are currently working on their new album.

SEBASTIAN BACH - Expect the mighty Bach to tour Europe late summer.

ZAKK WYLDE - Zakk will be appearing in the movie "Metal God" along side Jennifer Aniston and Mark Wahlberg.

MORE MAIDEN NEWS - MAIDEN T-shirts are currently a fashion trend in the UK, with top clothing retailers Top Shop stocking metal related gear. So it really looks as if rock is making a come back.

BON JOVI - Will play shows at London's Wembley Stadium on August 19th and Stoke -on- Trent Britannia Stadium on August 22nd. No bands have been confirmed to support yet.

AEROSMITH - Will have their next album produced by Matt Serletic.

MP3.COM vs METALLICA - Metallica are suing the internet website for use of each of their song to the tune of $100,000. So how come Metallica can sell their own bootleg videos and tapes via their website and fan club? That's illegal to. Lars get stuffed you freak, support MP3.COM.

DANGEROUS TOYS - Dangerous Toys have reformed.

RUSH - Rush have begun work on their 17th album.

Z ROCK 2000 REPORT - Last week Z ROCK 2000 was held in Wigan, UK. We are also very happy to be participating in the ProgPower Contest!! The winner will play at the festival later this year. So to all our Dutch fans and all other people who can make it to Waalwijk....be sure to support us on june 17.

Last information for today: yesterday we heard the first songs that were mastered. It blew us away, so let's keep our fingers crossed that all of you will also like it!! The release is getting closer every day....

NEW SENSATION- It sure is hot over here in Holland, it's summetime! And when the weather is hot, you need to have good-time rockmusic and we sure can introduce some of the latest AOR sensations. Just check out reviewspages and you'll discover there's more than the releases of the major labels. I also wanted to let you know about the latest new AOR sensation from the USA. The band is called ATTRACTION and now you might think we featured this band sometime ago. But this is a different ATTRACTION.

This ATTRACTION comes out of Parkersburg, WV, USA and blows away every female fronted AOR band from the past few years. Only ALYSON AVENUE can compete with this new female fronted band. I downloaded one song off their mp3.com site. The song is called "You and me in paradise" and is totally 80s AOR HEAVEN. Very much a like the best of HEART, VXN and WITNESS. So hopefully pretty soon we will do a review and an interview with this wonderful new AOR band called ATTRACTION. It's all confusion, but now we have two American ATTRACTION who are both very sensational.

TALON - Talon Signs 2 Album Recording Contract Rock group TALON has recently signed a 2 album recording deal with Now and Then / Frontiers Records. TALON will be traveling to Manchester, England in July 2000 to record their 1st album for Now and Then. Tracking and mixing is scheduled to take about 5 weeks. Tentative release date for the album is October 2000. The title of the album has not been announced
yet. The band will return to England in November to play the GODS Festival, a 2 day event in Wigan that showcases the best Melodic Hard Rock bands in the world. The bands website is now up and running at: http://www.talonrocks.com

KANSAS - The original line up of Kansas are back in the studio.

SAMMY HAGAR - Is working on a new album called "Ten Thirteen". Sammy started off penning two songs for what was ment to be a new "Anthology", the Red Rocker got himself on a song writing roll and now has enough songs for a new album which is said to have a release pencilled in for October.On the Van Halen front, David Lee Roth has apaarently recorded three new songs with the band, although this news is yet to be officially confirmed.

IRON MAIDEN - Maiden's new cd "Brave New World" will be out may 25th and features ten new songs "The Wicker Man", "Ghost Of The Navigator", "Brave New World", "Blood Brothers", "The Mercenary", "Dream Of Mirrors", "The Fallen Angel", "The Nomad", "Out Of The Silent Planet" and "The Thin Line".

BON JOVI - Bon Jovi release "Crush" on May 29th. The track listing is "It's My Life", "Say It Isn't So", "Thank You For Loving Me", "Two Story Town", "Next 100 Years", "Just Older", "Mystery Tarin", "Save The World", "Captain Crash And The Beauty Queen From Mars", "She's A Mystery", "I Got The Girl","One Wild Night", "I Could Make A Living Out Of Loving You".

RIVERDOGS - Riverdogs will have a new album out shortly.

BOSTON - Boston plan to issue their follow up to 1994's "Walk On" late summer.

MOTLEY CRUE - The new Crue album is likely to be titled "New Tattoo".

JEFF HEALEY BAND - The blind guitarists new album "Get Me Some" is out now via Eagle Records.

ALICE COOPER - Alice has a new album ready to go called "Brutal Planet".

Z PLAN - Peter Hodson and the boys have completed three new songs for their second album. Also congratulations are in order to Peter from all at Strutter. Peter's wife gave birth to a lovely baby girl on April 4th.

MTM - Expect new albums later this year from UNRULY CHILD, TOWER CITY and FERGIE FREDERIKSEN.

MICHAEL RYAN BAND - Michael and the gang are still working on their second album.

Z ROCK 2000 UK - Don't forget five days to go to the massive Z ROCK weekend (29th April) at Maximes Nightclub, Wigan, England featuring VAUGHN, SAVANNAH, DAMNED NATION, PUSH, DANNY DANZI, CONTAGIOUS and SEVEN WISHES. Tickets are selling fast, so be warned!!

ROCK REPORT- Top Belgium magazine Rock Report has decided to start publishing their magazine in English. The first issue in English (issue #45) will be published in June 2000. The magazine will be available at various mail order outlets throughout Europe and the UK.
