Stuart's mother explained, "It's
an important time at the moment for Stuart at college so we won't be seeing
the film in France, but we can't wait to see it when it comes out here
around September. He's never been into acting before but the casting director
said he was a real natural."
"Action!"
Though he had to wear a dress for a scene
in "Billy Elliot" in which his character is questioning his sexuality,
Stuart didn't have any problem putting life and art in perspective, though
he was a bit uncomfortable.
"The worst part was a scene where I had
to wear a dress and makeup. I felt silly, but it was just part of the job...[It's]
only a film."
"All my mates at college are really pleased
for me and I've enjoyed all the attention since I got the part." says Stuart.
"I hope I might be discovered by an action film director. My favourite
actor is Mike Myers and I would love to be as successful as him."
Close and True
Stuart auditioned for a television program
called "Close and True", called "Close and Innocent" here in a quote from
his school:
"I auditioned for a Robson Green programme
called Close and Innocent, and I got down to the last two," says Stuart.
"It was between me and Jamie Bell, who plays the main character in Dancer
(Billy Elliot), and in the end Jamie got it."
"When I finish my art and design course
at College, I hope to make a successful career out of acting," he said.
Stuart's father, Geordie, said: "He's coped
liked a professional and it hasn't changed him at all. I couldn't be prouder
of him."
What's next for Stuart?
He's landed a main role in "Morality Play"
which is based on the 1996 murder-mystery novel by Barry Unsworth. His
character "Springer" is described as a meek 15 year-old orphan who travels
with an acting troupe in 14th Century England.
Update
Stuart had landed the role of Charlie on Carlton ITV's "Peak Practice."
Newsflash!
Stuart has decided to leave his acting career in favor of the Army.
