The Importance of Regular Exercise
Postive stimuli comes in many forms. Regular and challenging exercise is necessary to the overall health of our dogs. While park walks are a good venue for training and socialization, regular runs off-leash are also necessary. We take full advantage of the local forestry tracks to allow Macc and Cybelle the chance to run and explore. The local fauna may not appreciate the rampaging Canaans, but the dogs are able to stretch and challenge their muscles with races and games. Joining up with other dogs just increases the stimulation. Macc and Cybelle are able to develop confidence in themselves and understand how their bodies can move. Some of the quickness that Cybelle shows in the forest is evident in her agility practices. Macc has honed his jumping ability on the horse jumps and leaping away from Cybelle.
To boot, the dogs are tired from their exertions but happy. They have good, lean muscles on their well proportioned bodies.
