Author's Note: Hi everyone! This is my first complete Roswell fiction. I'm so excited. It is also my first song fiction of any kind. I bought this cd a couple days ago and had this great brain storm for a story. I hope you like it! OH yeah, this is some alternative universe. Nothing to do with the story line.

Slowly the figures moved through the shadows, making their way in between the large trees and bushes. They reached their destination in the darkness. The house. The very house that held all the secrets and all the answers that was desired. What they would find ... no one could be certain, but tonight...Tonight they would know the truth....
"Maria! Get the hell off my foot!" Tess Harding yelled, almost falling over in pain.
"SHHHHH!!! Do you want them to hear us?" Isabel Evans whispered harshly.
Liz Parker looked over her shoulder into the darkness to see if anyone was behind them. "Maria I don't know how I let you talk me into this." She whined.
"Listen," Maria Deluca said throwing her hands up in the air. " Personally I want to know what was so important that Michael gave up a Friday night of making out with me to spend time with Max, Kyle and Alex. Don't you want to know what Max is doing right now instead of spending time with you?"
Maria crossed her arms across her chest.
"Well,..." Liz winced looking at her hands.
"Alex canceled our plans to see that new movie VALENTINE, and decided to have a "guy's time out" as he called it. He's been wanting to see that movie since the first promo came out because of that blonde girl. And YES I'm fine with this, David Boreanez is such a hottie. But now..." Isabel huffed and made a face that would have killed Alex if he had been standing there at that very moment.
"See! I want to know why we were ditched!" Maria whined, stamping her foot.
"Excuse me, I was not ditched. I was put on hold for the present time." Isabel retorted, as the three other girls rolled their eyes.
"Ditched." Liz, Maria, and Tess whispered back to her.
"Can we go already? I really don't relish the fact that we are sitting in the dark between a tree and a garbage pail. Iz, which window is Max's?" Tess asked from her squatting position.
"It's around back." Liz said. Isabel, Tess and Maria turned to look at her.
"What?"
The other three girls turned around shaking their heads.
"What?!?" Liz whispered back urgently.
The girls quietly made their way to the back of the house trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. When they finally reached Max Evans's bedroom window, they crouched down and leaned against the wall below it. Slowly they pulled themselves to eye level with the sill of the window, and looked in through the glass.
"Maria, move over I can't see." Isabel said pushing her.
"There's nothing to see," Maria pushed back. "They aren't even in the room."
"They were though." Tess whispered pointing to the various car magazines thrown everywhere and the television that was left on. "That better not be porn."
"I swear to God, Michael can kiss good-bye his lower anatomy. Because if he canceled our plans tonight to have a porn rally I'm gonna..."
"Save us the gory details, please." Liz said fastening a hand over Maria's mouth. "Plus you're the one that talked us all into coming here, as I've repeated many times this whole night."
Maria pushed her best friend's hand away and was about to retort when
"ISABEL!!!"
rang through out the house. The girls all gasped and dropped to the ground.
"Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodohgod..." Liz repeated over and over again, lying against the ground.
"Shut up." Maria hissed breathing heavily.
"We're done for. They know we're here and they're gonna kill us. We're never gonna hear the end of it." Liz babbled, biting her nails.
"ISABEL!!!!!!" Max's voice rang out again.
"Ohgodohgodohgodohgod..." Liz started up again.
"SHUT UP!" Isabel, Tess and Maria hissed at her.
Suddenly masculine laughter filled the room, and Isabel moaned, "shit."
"This was a great idea, man. We haven't done this such a long time." Alex's voice said. "I mean going to the movies with Izzy would have been great and everything, but truthfully I rather be here."
"WHAT!!" Isabel screamed lifting her head. Her eyes widened realizing what she just could have done, and she covered her head with both her hands.
"What was that?" Kyle Valenti's voice asked.
Outside Tess started to mumble, "Stupid boy ... doesn't know when to shut his mouth ... gonna find out... stupid...idiot...boy."
"I don't know." Alex replied, his voice was now closer.
"Tess hide us!" Maria whispered urgently.
And Tess did her thing, just in time for the window to open up.
"Must have been a cat or something." Kyle said to Alex.
They were right above the window now, looking down at the girls who were hidden to them. Kyle shut the window, and moved back into the room. Tess stopped her mind warp, shaking her head.
"You know that was harder than I thought it was gonna be. He can sense me more now that we've had sex." Tess said trying to breathe normal again.
"Thanks for that wonderful image of you and my stepbrother in bed." Maria cringed. "And can we try to be quiet, Is-a-bel."
"Sorry!" Isabel whispered back.
"You know," Kyle said, in what must have been in between chewing since his mouth sounded full of food. "The girls would love this."
"Yeah, they would get a real kick out of it. Isabel hates how I dress already, if she saw me like this she might have an aneurysm." Alex said in reply.
"Aren't they done yet? YO, Max! Let's get the show on the road huh?"
"We're coming!" Max's voice could be heard from far away.
"You know, its very difficult to get everything in Isabel's room exactly how we found it. If she finds out we were all in there, she'll kill us." Michael said walking into the room.
"I'm gonna kill them. All four of them must die." Isabel said through gritted teeth.
"SHHHH!" the other three girls mouthed to her.
"You guys ready?" Max's voice said.
"Let's do it!" Kyle, Michael and Alex all said back to him.
Suddenly the lights dimmed in the room and the voices from the television could no longer be heard. The girls slowly raised up in a crouching position, and saw Kyle, Alex and Max with their backs to the window. They were dressed like something that got lost in the 1980s and never left.
"What the hell are they doing?" Tess asked, her eyebrows raised.
"I think the proper question is what the hell are they wearing?" Isabel said back her facing holding a similar expression. Maria and Liz just looked on.
Their boyfriends were standing in a line with their hands behind their backs.
"Where's Michael?" Liz whispered, turning to Maria.
"Liz, truthfully I don't want to know," Maria said never taking her eyes off her two male best friends and stepbrother. Liz turned her eyes back to the boys. Suddenly music started up loudly. Isabel and Tess looked at each other in confusion, as did Maria and Liz.
The musical introduction kept going as Kyle, Alex and Max began bouncing their legs with their heads down at the floor.
"Wait a minute..." Maria said her eyes going wide. "I know this song."
"Yeah me too." Izzy said. "Its...Oh. My. God..."
OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH
The realization dawned on Liz, "They're not gonna.."
OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH
Kyle, Max and Alex started to move back and forth to the music, singing out the same words that came over the CD player.
OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH
"Okay now I wanna know where..." Maria started, but was suddenly found herself speechless when the lyrics started. The girls got the shock of their lives.
Listen up everybody if you wanna take a chance,
Michael Gueirn jumped into the room. His hair must have been sprayed with a million galloons of hair spray since it was so high off his head. His clothes weren't much better. And he was singing into a comb. Isabel, Maria, Tess and Liz's mouth dropped opened, as they watched their boyfriends perform.
Just get on the floor and do the NEW KIDS dance...
The other three boys yelled singing in tune with Michael. The boys turned around and the girls finally got a visible look at them. They were dressed up looking exactly like the New Kids On the Block!
Don't worry about nothing cause it won't take long, We're gonna put you in a chance with a funky song.
Alex slid across the floor on his knees and mouthed:
Cause you gotta be...
Alex, Michael, Max and Kyle began perform a choreographed danced as the refrain kicked in. The girls watched wide-eyed.

Isabel, Maria, Liz, and Tess slowly turned to look at one another, and then slowly turned to face their boyfriends again. The boys waved their hands in the air to the...

As Michael sang out, Max, Kyle, and Alex thudded over to him...
Don't cross out back cause you're gonna get stopped...
And knocked him out of the way, crossing their arms over their chests.
"I'm not seeing this. I'm not seeing this." Maria repeated again and again. Without taking her eyes off of them, Tess covered Maria's mouth with her hand.
We ain't gonna give anybody any slack... and if you try to kick us down we're gonna come right back!!!
Michael stood up again singing.....
And you know it!
As the chorus started up again, Kyle and Max jumped on the bed waving their arms back and forth as Michael hopped around the room.

"I don't think I can handle much more of this." Isabel whimpered. Suddenly Alex grabbed his guitar and started air playing it to the music.
"Oh. My. God." Isabel said, putting her hand over her mouth in shock. As the sounds of the guitar ended, Michael started to sing again.

Max, Michael, Alex, and Kyle all stood next to each other...

They asked each other, and then imitating Tony the Tiger from the Frosted Flakes Cereal commercials sang...
We're rough... rough... rough...
The girls watched as the boys began to move like an Egyptian.
"Make it stop! Make it stop!" Maria cried, trying to cover both her eyes and her ears. Liz lent her a hand, still watching horrified.
OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH, JUST HANING TOUGH OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH, HANGING TOUGH OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH, JUST HANGING TOUGH
The song began to fade and the boys made their way out of Max's room towards the stairs. Faintly the words...
OOOOH OOOH OOOOH OH OH, HANGING TOUGH....
could still be heard. Maria, Liz, Isabel and Tess slowly rose from their place, and walked back to Maria's house in silence.
Later at Maria's house:
The girls filed into Maria's bedroom in silence. Liz and Tess sat on the bed, while Isabel fell into a chair. Maria just collapsed on the floor. They stayed that way for a while until Liz said:
"I'm very unnerved by that."
Maria shook her head, and looked at Liz, "That had to be the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life."
Isabel stared straight ahead, "Why.... How... Why... How?"
Tess walked over to her. Isabel leaned against her as Tess patted her on the head.
"Why would they do that?" Tess asked to no one in particular.
"Well, I guess someone has to say it." Maria said. The three girls looked at her expectantly. "Our boyfriends are..........."in the closet" New Kids on the Block fans."
They looked away from each other. And sat in silence for a couple of more minutes.
"ooooh, oooh, oooh, oh, oh..." Isabel whispered softly, looking up at Tess.
"Oooh oh oh oh oh." Tess sang back, just as Maria and Liz sang their "oooooooh."
The two aliens and two human friends exchanged glances, and smirked.
"HANGING TOUGH!!!!!"
And broke into a fit of giggles that lasted the whole night.
The next morning in West Roswell High's lunch quad:
Maria, Isabel, Liz, and Tess were all sitting together at their usual table eating lunch. They all laughed themselves to sleep, after being horrified by their boyfriend's NKOTB performance.
"Uh Oh..." Isabel said glancing at her friends. "Here they come."
Maria and Liz looked over their shoulders to see Michael and Max, accompanied by Kyle and Alex. They were walking towards their table.
Maria started to giggle.
"Maria!" Tess said urgently. "We promised each other we wouldn't make a scene. Stop laughing! They'll know!"
"O...(snicker)... k... (giggle)... o.... (snicker)... k. I'm.... done" Maria stopped laughing just in time.
"Hello ladies." Alex said, plopping down next to Isabel, and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Hi!" the girls all replied as nonchalant as possible.
Kyle, Max and Michael did the same. The girls stared at the food in silence. The guys all exchanged glances.
"Maria?"
"Liz?" Max and Michael asked.
"Are you okay?" Kyle asked putting his arm around Tess's shoulders. Tess looked up at him, and smiled, then quickly looked away.
"I know what's wrong." Alex said calmly.
"YOU DO?" Liz, Isabel, and Maria yelled. Max, Michael, Kyle, and Tess jumped fifty feet in the air.
"Yes I do. You girls are upset about us leaving you last night. Right?" Alex said looking back and forth between his two best friends, and his girlfriend.
The girls remained silent.
"Liz, I'm sorry. I promise I'll make it up to you this weekend." Max said putting his hand under her chin. Slowly he lifted her chin, so she was looking into his eyes.
"I....I...." she stuttered.
"No, we're not mad." Maria said, absently picking at her food, and trying at all costs to avoided Michael's eyes which had been looking at her intently since he had sat down. "After all ... we girls.... we're rough..."
Isabel spit out her soda all over Alex. "Izzy!"
"OH Alex, I'm sooo sorry. But come on, hunni, tell me. Are you tough enough?"
And with that the girls bursted in uncontrollable giggles.
"I KNEW IT!" Kyle shouted, standing up, "I KNEW YOU WERE THERE!"
Michael, Max and Alex looked at their cackling girlfriends with horrified expressions.
"Maria, where were you last night?" Michael asked warningly. Maria could only giggle back.
"Liz, were you at my house?" Max said, watching her fling her head into her arms on the table.
"OOOOh OOOH OOOOH OH OH" The four girls sang in unison.
"Oh. My. God." Alex whispered in shock. Michael put his head in his hands, a shook it back and forth, while Max turned a thousand shades of red.
"I told you there were there." Kyle mumbled, slumping back into his seat like a three year old.
Maria, Liz, Tess, and Isabel continued to sing other New Kids On the Block songs, as Max, Michael, Alex, and Kyle said nothing.
