Before Laura bought Chloe in August of 2002, she had quite a history! When she was born she was imprint trained and set out to pasture until she was broke as a four year old with about 60 days on her. Her next owner bought her as a hunter prospect and was jumping her twice a week. She had to have surgery and was unable to ride, so she put Chloe up for sale and had a dressage trainer rider Chloe. Laura bought her not only because of her past experience and potential, but also because of her sweet and easygoing nature. Since then, Laura and Chloe have had some great times together. Chloe is very curious and bold- she never spooks at anything! She loves people and is well behaved wherever she is taken.

When Laura was riding one day, her puppy got into the arena and never kept more than a foot away from Chloe's back legs. Chloe didn't even blink an eye! (Belle still follows us around on trail rides!) Another time, Laura and Chloe were walking along the side of the road and suddenly started sinking like quicksand! Chloe struggled with her legs frantically while Laura slid off of Chloe's bum and onto the grass beside. Chloe got out of the mud, walked a few steps up the hill, and calmly turned around as if to say, "Are you coming or what?" as if nothing had happened. Chloe will always remain the token mare of the group; however, she is much to sweet and has so much personality to overlook it!
