Nugget, an Appaloosa gelding, was born in 1995 on a PMU farm in Alberta and was purchased as a weanling with several other foals. He spent the first part of his life as a pack horse in the mountains, which taght him to be very calm and easygoing. When he was old enough, his

owners sent him to a local trainer to be started. She then mentioned him to Tanya as a possible lesson horse so that he could get some more miles. He came to the stable very green, but also very good natured. Laura Urbanowski began training him with Tanya's help, and he soon began to learn all the basics including jumping. Laura soon started full leasing Nugget and he was taken out of lessons. Nugget is a great all around horse and has competed in everything from hunter/jumper to trail. His easygoing nature, sweet attitude, and jumping ability also make him an ideal eventer and he and Laura have been competing throughout the province together for 3 years. He is great to take on the trails and is always a lot of fun to gallop around the fields with, even when he gives a little buck here and there! He loves to get treats and has even learned a few tricks over the years- such as "shake a hoof". Nugget has a great attitude and a lot of heart which makes him a fantastic show partner as well as a horse you can just jump on bareback and hack around. This summer Laura and Nugget hope to compete in several events throughout the province and move up to training level.
