The Biography of The Conspiracy
It started on a dark and gloomy day, Back in early 1996 When Danny & Jay
decided to break it off with their other band "Broken Wings". They had
been together with that band for about a year, and couldn't get anything going.
It so happens that during that year Jays younger brother had been learning to
play the guitar. Jay suggested to Danny to give his brother a try at playing
with them. Danny didn't want to at first. He said that two brothers could never
see eye to eye in a band. (The Righteous Truth) Jay talked him into it However, And they have been
making music ever since. They immediatley began to write songs & started
drawing small crowds where ever they rehearsed. Although, some people were put off by the way they looked. Two fat
guys and a skinny longhaired prettyboy playing loud obnoxious music.
They started progressing and finally decided to look for a rythym guitar player.( Since
Gabe wuz learning how to play more lead). On an all night drinking binge they
saw their old buddy Dave "The Cock Rocket" Cooper From the old Broken
Wings days. They showed him the songs and immediately began playing parties and
Meat Beating with other bands. Every where they went they pissed people off. No place was sacred. For they would play anywhere, or anytime. From Bumfuk to Blackfox to Kodak, or K-town. They played all the local clubs too like, The
Mercury and Flamingos (Both places closed down shortly there after).
After a long Stint playing to fat drunken REDNECKS "With their ASS cracks
showing" at Gatlinburg's long gone Club 2oo0 they decided to screw the real gigs and play parties.

After about six months together the boys felt they were ready for the studio. [? MISTAKE? ] Their Friend , Chris " I Ain't Your Manager " Hansard found a place. We won't mention the name for obvious reasons.( A M G ) Anyway, the guy that owned the place was stuck up this certain famous country stars anal cavity.( Lee Greenwood ) The demo came out Pretty Rough, except for three songs: " A Poet's Dream " , " Heart Of Stone " , & " Blackberry Jam." Nobody really understood what The Conspiracy was about.
They had open minds to different kinds of music, and didn't want to be labeled. Labels to them were for the simple-minded. The guys all had different tastes in music. Gabe liked Death SLAYER & MEGADETH, while Jay was into stuff like Sabbath & Motorhead. Danny was more into G-N-R & Motley Crue type stuff & Dave was heavily influenced by Danzig, Metallica , & THE DOORS. Somehow it all meshed together to form an almost punk/goth type of vibe. Later in the year they decided to give it one more try at a recording session. This time they went to a different studio. One they knew specialized in Rock Music. There they met Producer, & fellow musician Matt Lincoln. He understood the type of sound they wanted & helped them to find thier musical weaknesses. They came out with a few decent songs on that album entitled " Thrust ". Still, the guys had much to learn about the recording process. Dave Contributed The Music To " The Hunger Within " , " Sanctuary " ,& " Moonshine " On That Album. Dave, Jay, and Danny
started partying a lot and things started to fall apart. After many
arguements, (and alot of Bullshit) Some other bands were saying that they were
theiving bastards and that they stole Omega Rage's chicken shit-I Wanna Be Disciple- microphone
(and there Girlfriends) some other poor drunk loser got his guitar stolen
and they got blamed for that too!!! After Dave threatened to shoot the singer of
Feed they went on a hiatus. Jay and Gabe chose to break it off with Danny and
Dave. So much had happened, & while they valued each other's friendships, respect was no where to be found. It was growing up time for them. Sure, there were better bands out there, but most of them didn't have the family vibe that these four had. These dudes had fought for each other & against each other, just like brothers. Really, there was no other alternative. They jammed around with some other people for a while "And that chick Drummer
Allie had some " BIG ASS TITS".(Gabe)
The Crazy thing is every time we would have a drummer try out Danny would come
over and mess with them. After a lot of Blowing and Begging, Jay and Gabe they eventually
let him come back. By that time they let their buddy (The Road Scum)
Webslinger fill the rythym guitar spot. He had already written a song for their first album two years before entitled " Devilgirl " & basically had always been a part of the band anyway. They rehearsed and rehearsed and
recorded two demos: " Pneumatika " & " DISCHORD ". They just really started to concentrate on the music. Everything was much clearer without the drugs & booze. The band began to pray more together, & took on more of a spiritual side. Songs like " Oh Father ", " Drown ", & " N.B.C." really proved them to be a better band. Shortly after Webslinger took some time off to record his own
solo rap album called " White Boy Workin' It Compton Style " After a short stent with
his band White Chocolate & Vanilla Swirl he then decided to give up music & become a full time pimp. Don't worry, Web is still a very good friend of " The Brotherhood of
The Disobedient." His contribution has meant a lot to the band. Mr. David Cooper, the other guitar player started jamming with Jay Hodge (co-founder of the group) in a Misfits cover band ironically called " The Fizmits ". It Goes to prove, that once you are in The Conspiracy, You are never really out.
Gabe, Jay ,& Danny just kept playing as a 3-peice ,& played a whole bunch
of crazy gigs. It was a lot of fun ,but there real goal was to record a killer
album. One that better represented their true sound & spirit. They went back
in the Studio with Matt Lincoln ,& recorded one more CD. They decided to just
call it " The Conspiracy ". It was the heaviest album they had ever made.
It had some pretty Fat Sounds. The new songs kicked ass too, like,
" We Own The Night " , " Color of Her Blood " ,& " Fervor ".
They made the CD ,& took some due needed time off. The next summer however
they decided to play as many shows as they could. They made a lot of new friends (and a few new enemies) ,& had some really good shows. They finally
decided after much thought to part ways with their longtime drummer, Big Dan. It was hard to do ,but it was something they had to do to survive. They had reached a point where there was no progression ,and Danny's demons of self-abuse had been causing problems for a long time. With no hesitation, they quickly welcomed aboard a new member named John Fitch. He was a tremendous drummer ,& could play any style ,or speed. John is from California , So if you ever meet him, you'll understand why he's so STRRRRANGE!! they recorded a five song ep in 2003 called " YOUR'E WORLD HAS GONE INSANE ". They played quite a few shows including a Christmas show for all the attraction of Ripley's Entertainment. They turned it into a full fledged mosh-pit and pissed off everyone at the Aquarium. Especially some diver guy with a gay leopard shirt. It almost ended up in a brawl. It's a good thing it didn't because they had all their buds from The Haunded House there that night. Ha-Ha! They played a bunch of shows that year including ,The Prince ,and Ivey's. The last show at Ivey's did end up with a fight between bands. Some punk wanna-be was heckling the band and messing with their camera ,just to be a dick. They only had a couple of friends that night there ,so Jason ,and Gabe had to take care of it. The guy later lied and said he didn't do anything instead of doing what a real PUNK Rocker would and saying yes, i think you suck ,and i don't care what you say.
In early 2004 , to the shock of the band ,Jon announced that he was moving to Arizona to live with his lady. They were very sad to see him go ,but wished him all the best. They played one last show at friend Chris Mcpherson's house with most of the old-school crew there to see the sad ,but spirited occasion. Jon moved the next week ,but they continue to make music together witha new EP in Feb. 2006. Gabe is in another band call Sons of Madmen ,and Jason is recording with David ,Danny ,and all of his friends he has been wanting to record with for a long time. That brings us up to date. The guys are now just jamming ,and preparing for some RECORDING WITH OTHER PROJECTS ,BUT THEY WILL STILL BE NEW MUSIC FROM THE BAND FOR YOU TO ENJOY.
