Recently, the mainstream and street level have both been reporting on The Dearhunters, particularly with the release of "Red Wine & Blue", their debut album, in September 1999.

However, a few people with no attachment to the press whatsoever have also had something to say about The Dearhunters......

"They're quite good, aren't they ?" - Jodi Phillis' mom

"Listening to the The Dearhunters repeatedly has made
me the mega-brain you see before you today......"
- Bryan Gaensler, Young Australian of the Year (1999)

"Never heard of them. Bugger off." - Jeff "Bloody Jeff" Kennett

"There is no truth whatsoever to the current rumour that wealthy
punters have had been preferenced for A level Dearhunters tickets
over any other concert attendee" - unnamed SOCOG delegate
