 This was the coolest trip I've ever taken because it was so spontaneous! After working as a "Customer Service Representative" for Bally Total Fitness, I was so ready for a vacation! I was only there for about a month and a half (which was the shortest employment I'd ever had) but it was enough for me to know that answering calls all day long wasn't for me! A couple of weeks later, I was talking to a friend of mine who was getting vacation time in the last week of November. We came up with some bazaar ideas of what to do during her time off and my extended vacation, of course! Off the top of our heads was driving to florida and a day or two later, we were florida bound! Our destination was Clearwater, Florida with no real reservations or agenda! Some would say that I was totally nuts for vacationing in Florida for a week while I was unemployed but hey, life is too short to be worrying about details! I've always wanted to go down south and Florida is about as south as I can go without bringing my passport! We packed up her truck and drove about 19 hours to Jacksonville! We stopped at various places along the way down 95S and below, you will see some pictures of my trip to Florida along with some commentary! This was taken from the balcony of some hotel we stayed at. We stayed at many different hotel/motels during that week. The bridge in the picture looks really cool at night time because it is lit up completely! In case you're not familiar with Clearwater, Florida, its coast is along the Gulf of Mexico. That would explain why the water is truly so clear! I can't remember where in Florida this picture was taken but it was really cool with the parasailors in the sunset...wait, sunset would mean that we are still on the Gulf side of Florida!More pictures coming as I find them!! |
