Hot Water Music

The Band

"Hot Water Music" was founded in 1993, by former members of the LA based alternative group "2nd WIND." With influences ranging from "REM" and "Counting Crows" to "The Byrds" and "The Kinks," the band began playing LA area clubs and drew immediate reaction. Their next move was to the studio, for their debut, self titled CD, "Hot Water Music". The album is a collection 11 of the band's best songs, and was produced at 4th Street Recording by Jim Wirt, producer of "The Uninvited". Their eagerly awaited second album entitled "Pure" was released in May of 1998 and features 5 all new tracks and a re-release of "Blossom" (a favorite among the fans.) The self-produced CD was recorded at 4th Street Studio, Paramount Studios, and Sunami Studios. The band consists of guitarist Dana Frankfort, guitarist and vocalist Bertrand Syre, bassist Scott Kapin, drummer Bill Sanders. The new album shows a definite growth in the band with the rich melodies and eclectic style of Hot Water Music remaining rock-solid.

Bam Magazine says:

"With its engaging 12-string guitar and layered vocals, Hot Water Music's 'Make A Wish' is a traditional folk-rock track with a pop appeal that is immediate and striking. [The album] is polished and eclectic. There's talent here!"
