UPCOMING PROJECTS

NogginToboggan's second album:

NogginToboggan have released their second album, entitled 'Your Days Are Numbered'. Jeff stated that the new album would have "a lot of songs" and it sure does! This one has 18 songs.

NogginToboggan: Snapcase:
NogginToboggan's first album, 'Snapcase', has a whopping 22 tracks (about twice as many as most bands put on an album) and is one of my all-time favorites. Make sure to check out this band!

NogginToboggan is a band that you have probably heard of recently. If not, then don't be suprised when you do. NogginToboggin is one of the most innovative new punk bands out there. When I read the sticker on the album which read something like 'for fans of MxPx and Blink 182', I was interested. But when I gave them a chance, they were well worth it. Their music is refreshingly different, but still truely punk. Their songs are short and too the point and each of the 22 songs are noticably different.

Noggin Toboggan began in the summer of 1996 when Mike (drums) met Jeremy (bass guitar) at Atascadero Bible Church. Jeremy told Jeff (guitar) and Bryan Mclain (recorder) about Mike. Before long, Jeremy, Jeff, Bryan and Mike started playing.

They recorded their first jam session at Bryan's house. Afterwards, Bryan left the band to go solo.

Jeff, Jeremy and Mike began practicing together and also became good friends in the meantime. They went to Joyfest '96 (Knotts Berry Farm) and talked to the Supertones. In 1997, Bryan re-entered the band and they recorded a 13-song EP at Moon Studios. They had 1,000 CD's pressed and distributed and it sold out. It is impossible to get this album- not even the band has any copies left for themselves!

NogginToboggan played many shows and they matured. When 1998 rolled around, they signed onto Bettie Rocket Records. In March 1999, they released their second album, 'Snapcase'. Finally, the band is started getting some of the recognition it deserved.

The album 'Snapcase' sold well, and in fact so well that the band had to wait a year to release their second album, 'Your Days Are Numbered'. In their spare time between writing new material, recording it and touring, the band came up with the idea and eventually got a punk Valentine's Day compilation album made, which was released by their label, Bettie Rocket.

Since they released 'Your Days Are Numbered', the band has gone through two lineup changes, as their original drummer Mike left and was replaced by Nick, who was later left and was replaced by Justin, the current drummer.
