The latest from MxPx, 'The Ever Passing Moment' is a great album, full of songs that are different than those off of previous albums but also display the classic MxPx style. This album gets a little more melodic and a little slower than the rest of the MxPx fare, but is in no way inferior. In fact, it is the best album to date from the fantastic musical trio. The 'Ever Passing Moment' displays maturity and musical skill that cannot be faked. The lyrics are genuine and the songs are well-executed and placed in a good order.

The album starts out with their second single, "My Life Story", a humorous song about the mishaps of a guy trying to get to a date with an attractive girl. The third song and first single off of the album, "Responsibility", is a look back upon how the band saw life during their childhood: they didn't want any responsibilities- they wanted to have fun. The song "Foolish" speaks about how people are turned off by the message of salvation and they don't want to see the truth when told. The fifteenth and last song off the album is "Misplaced Memories", a song about regret and how we would all do things differently if we had the chance, but we don't.

The album is full of great tracks and is finally helping MxPx to gain the kind of popularity they've deserved for years.
