Michael Young

Instrument: He is the Lead Guitarist and Lead Vocalist in the Band.
Nickname: His friends call him "Mental" or "Mental Mike".
D of B: 10/8/67
Influences: Segovia, Jimmy Page, Eddie VanHalen, Janis Joplin, Alex Lifeson.
Playing Style: "Most people say my playing sounds like a cross between VanHalen and Jimmy Page. I thinks that's great considering I love their playing."
Favorite Saying: "Bite Me." "It Makes Me Wet."

Besides what he plays with the band (Vocals & Guitars) he also plays several other instruments.
He plays the Piano & Keyboards, Drums & Percussion, Recorder, Harmonica, Bass and is presently working on the Violin, Flute and Fife.

He enjoys playing classical and blues as well as rock and feels that a diversitivity amongst playing styles greatly adds to the quality, originality and overall creativity of a musician.

"I don't like bands where each songs sounds identical to the last; it get's annoying real quick. By plaing different styles and instruments I am able to throw a wider range of sounds into my compositions which makes the listening time more of a pleasure than a drudgery."
