about me...

Ok... so this is where i sum myself up in a few, tidy little paragraphs. hmmm... ok... I'm pretty well-adjusted for a single-parented, latchkey-kid, only-child... which i can only attribute to the wonderful mothering-skills of television.  Not to say that my mom is bad-mom... but... i did a lot of raising myself over the years...

I've never kept a journal before - this is all new to me.  no, wait... thats a lie... when i was little i used to spend the summer in california with my cousins and my aunt.  she always made us write in our journals every night - and she would check to see if we did it.  at the time i hated it and thought it was stupid... but a few months ago... as i was sorting through some old things... i found one of these notebooks... full of long-gone innocence and faded summer memories... rich with sights and sounds and smells and friends and places... it was brilliant!!!

Now I'm 23 years old... i just graduated from the university of maryland... and now im working as a radio producer at WMAL - ABC radio... in washington dc... the pay is crap and the hours are slim... but the job is cool...  however... this job is merely a distraction... my real ambition -- the goal that i spent all that money in college busting my ass to attain -- is to become a television news reporter... ive always known that i was destined for greatness and now im just waiting for my shot... wish me luck!  :)
