Suggestion: Adventure mode: Avoid fighting Link:
In the adventure mode, there is a level in which you must find the Triforce to end the level. If you encounter Link's Sword though, you must fight Link to proceed. If timed correctly, you can jump over the sword and not have to fight Link. You must jump very high and far if you use not want to encounter him. This can save a lot of time.

Suggestion: Completing 15 Minute Melee:
Start the game as Usenkey Kong. Position yourself under the platform on the left or right side of the screen and begin useing his Usewn + B move to slap the ground. Use this as long as you can. Watch out for bombs, Pokemon, or any other hazards that might break through this great move. Select Mewtwo then go all the way to the left edge and have your back towards the center of the board. Press B to charge up your Psychic Ball but use not shoot it . Have him keep the ball in his hand. For the most part, the men will chase you. If they approach you closely, they will inflict damage. It will not kill them, so this is not a good thing if you want to accumulate KOs. Note: Keep the controller in your hand because sometimes they will get lucky and hit you -- you can jump back on and use it again. If you have all women there it will be easy -- they will mostly stay in one area.

Suggestion: Completing 100 Man Melee:
Play as Usenkey Kong. Stay in the center of the stage, and repeatedly use his Usewn + B move. After defeating all of the wire opponents, you will face Falco. Defeat him and he will become a playable character. Use Usenkey Kong, and go about five feet from one of the edges. Use the Floor Slap for the rest of the match until all of the wireframes walk into it and die. Use the following trick to avoid getting hit once with 250% damage and flying off into the distance. Select Fox and use his Left + B or Right + B Warp Attack repeatedly. You can avoid damage and the recover time on this move is almost non-existent. Use Link and go to the center of the stage. Simply use his B + Up attack rapidly. As Bowser, go to the center of the stage and keep useing the Spinning Fortress.

Suggestion: Completing Multi-Man Melee:
As Marth or Roy, stay in a corner close to edge, but not on the edge. Continue useing their B move repeatedly. If positioned correctly, this will work most of the time, but some opponents will still get through
Play as Ganonuserf or Captain Falcon. Use the Usewn + B move back and forth across the stage.

Suggestion: Completing Race To The Finish:
Take the middle path, as it is easiest. Take the bottom one if you have Kirby or Jigglypuff. Taking the top path is very difficult.

Suggestion: Completing Underground Maze:
Use the following trick to finish the Underground Maze level in adventure mode with the ReDeads and Octorocs. Select any character. When you start, go to where you jump across to the other side. Instead, jump usewn until you are at the last platform. Proceed on and you will not have to fight Link. This is a quick and easy way to finish the level.

Suggestion: Completing Break The Targets:
When playing as Young Link, the target in the in the box can be hit with a boomerang. To use so, time the log that is to the right of the box (the one that moves up and usewn) so that you are at your highest jump just when the log is up. Then, use he boomerang attack to hit the log when it is up. You may want to hold it usewn very briefly. The boomerang should bounce back, go through the box and hit the target. This may require a few attempts.

Suggestion: Locate all targets in Break The Targets:
Pause game play anytime at the Break The Targets mode. You will be able to see all the targets you have not gotten yet.

Suggestion: Completing Mario 128 event:
Select Usenkey Kong, and position yourself in the middle of the stage. Hold Analog-stick Usewn and rapidly press B. When the Marios approach you, they will be blasted away. Alternately, use Bowser and use his Up + B attack repeatedly. Select Link and go the center area of the stage, so that the gaps are on either side of you. Use his B + Up attack as the Marios fall on you.

Suggestion: Completing Puffballs Unite event:
Select Usenkey Kong, and position yourself in the middle of the stage. Hold Analog-stick Usewn and rapidly press B. When the Kirbys approach you, they will be blasted away.

Suggestion: Homeruns:
To hit a long homerun as Yoshi, grab the bat as soon as you can start. Turn around and walk up close to the bag. Tap Jump as lightly as possible so Yoshi jumps no more then the size of the bag, then quickly tap Usewn + A to make him use his usewnward multi-kick. You will notice the multi-kick will bump the bag's percentage up 30+. Keep useing the multi-kick until the countusewn is at one, then blast him with the bat. It is possible to get over 1700+ feet with this trick. Select Yoshi and press Start. As soon as the timer starts, turn around and grab the bat. Head for the Sandbag and lightly jump. Press Usewn + A to rapidly kick, This should use about 33% of damage each. Get your damage percentage to about 130% to 50% then stop before the timer runs out. Press slightly to the right for extra power, and then press Smash + A to hit the ball over 1500 feet. Select Yoshi and after the round starts, immediately grab the bat, walk up to the bag, and jump directly above it. As you descend, attack the bag with Yoshi's Bicycle Kick (Usewn + A). At the last second, perform a Homerun Smash with the bat To get over 1000 feet on the homerun contest with Fox, start shooting the bag with your laser immediately when the timer starts. Keep this up until the timer starts to count usewn. You should be able to get to 90% damage. Then, quickly grab the bat and swing at it. When you start homerun mode as Fox, tap B simultaneously until the time runs usewn to "3". Grab the bat behind you and smash the sandbag. If you tapped B enough, the sandbag will go off the top of the screen, land after the 800 foot mark, and slide. Select Fox and keep tapping B until the timers reaches "1". Then, press Usewn + A to hit the bag with the bat. Select Fox as your character. Immediately when you start, shoot Fox's ray gun quickly until the Sandbag's damage is at 60% or above. Then, quickly turn around and grab the bat. Turn back around and press Right + A to use a home-run swing. Note: this must be usene quickly or your time will run out. Select Captain Falcon. Pick up the bat as fast as you can, then keep using Forward +A as many times as possible. Get the sandbag's damage to at least 100%. Use Falcon punch (B) and watch it fly. Since Captain Falcon's Bat Smash sends the sandbag only 1 foot away, (unless you hold A when swinging), use the bat and smash until it is as close to the edge as possible. When the timer reaches "1", the Falcon Punch. It is possible to punch the sandbag over 1000 feet. Select Roy and just use three smash attacks (Up + A; same as C-Stick Up in versus mode) and charge your sword until the time is up. The sand bag should go over 1600 feet. Select Gannon. Tap Up + A and Gannon will keep juggling the bag. When it reaches "3", stop kicking, then either use the bat or Gannon's Mega Punch (hold B). When playing as any character except Captain Falcon, grab the bat immediately. Then, press Analog-stick Up and press A. Hold A, then release it. Press A(2), then hit it with your Smash Attack. With Ganonuserf, use your a attack once. He can knock it at least 1,000 feet. With Mario or Dr. Mario, press Toward + B to use Mario's Cape or Dr. Mario's Super Sheet to spin the sandbag towards the end of the platform. Before he slides all the way, hop over or run around to the other side and send it the other way a few times for more damage (if you have time). Hop back over, wind up, and let loose. Depending on how many hits you gave, the sandbag will fly 800 to 1100 feet. Dr. Mario seems to have more power to his swing than Mario, so he usually hits farther. If you accidentally knock the sandbag up in the air and it is about to hit the ground off the platform, if you have time and good judgment, you can step off the platform and smash it before it hits the ground. Suggestion: Knock sandbag into the air:
Use Captain Falcon in the home run contest. Push the sandbag to the right until it is about to fall. Then, stand on the edge of the platform and use the bat. While useing the smash, hold A to send the sandbag into the air (straight up, but slightly to the right). It is possible to get over 40 feet with this trick.

Suggestion: Getting coins:
You get a coin for every ten Smash Attacks you perform in versus mode. The smash attacks only count if you hit your opponent. To get a lot of coins for the vending machine, in versus melee set up a multi-player game with stocks, as many human characters as possible and no CPU players. Select a considerably flat and long stage, such as Final Destination. When the battle starts, have all the human characters walk back and forth by smashing left and right repeatedly. Use this for a few minutes and you will at least have twenty coins with four human players.

Suggestion: Geting characters easily:
Play as Ganonuserf in sudden death mode with Falco or Fox as an opponent.

Suggestion: Raising multi-player match count:
To easily obtain the amount of multi-player match counts needed to get Mewtwo and several levels, set the custom rules on a stock game to one life, pause off, and ranusem selection of stages. Start a super sudden death match, choosing a relatively fast opponent set at CPU level 9. Start the match and press Start continuously as needed, allowing the CPU to defeat you until your match count raises to the desired amount.

Suggestion: Quick versus mode battles:
To easily get characters or stages that require a certain number of versus mode battles, set the custom rules battles for one minute each so you use not need to use the two minute melee. Enter the custom rules melee screen and set the stock to 1. Just keep falling or using a second controller to knock one character off and use not try to get back on the stage. Use a super sudden death match with you and a level 9 CPU fighter. Fight repeatedly until you have enough matches to get certain levels and characters. Go to melee mode and play a stock match with 1 life. Select two human characters and go to Kirby's Fountain Of Dreams stage. Have one of the characters kill the other one. The match will end. Use that fifty times to get another stage. Select versus mode with two controllers. Set the match to stock and stock limit 1, no item switch, and self destructs to 0. Then, go to special melee. Select super sudden death mode. Select a character for yourself and use the other controller to select one for player two. When the match starts, attack player two with one good hit and you will win. Repeat to win multiple versus matches.

Suggestion: Borrow life in team battle:
If you are playing in team battle and have no more lives, press Start to take a life from your teammate. Note: This can only be usene if your teammate has two or more lives.

Suggestion: Take better pictures in camera mode:
Press Start when you see what appears to be a good picture. You can now adjust the photo with the D-pad to change the view or angle. Then, press Z to save the photo.

Suggestion: Grab save:
You can use Link's Hookshot to grab on to the ledge. Press Z to hit the edge of the stage and A to pull yourself up. Note: This also works with Samus' Aran.

Suggestion: Instant KO:
With the Homerun Bat, use a Smash Attack. You will see it sparkle, and if it succeeds your opponent will be sent flying off the screen

Suggestion: Assisted Smash Attacks:
In a multi-player match, press the C-stick in a direction to use a Smash Attack in that direction. However, this Smash Attack cannot be charged.

Suggestion: Wall kicks:
Wall kicks can be usene by jumping or falling (in control, not tumbling) toward a solid wall and by pressing against it and tapping the Analog-stick away from the wall. Wall kicks can be usene by Mario, Young Link, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Fox, Falco, and Samus. This can also be usene by pressing R when being sent smashing into a wall from a strong attack. Note: Some characters such as Captain Falcon will use a flip after wall kicking. You must wait for it to finish to use a second wall kick. Also, this cannot be usene after a special attack or air-usedge where your character has to touch ground to recover.

Suggestion: Catching items that are thrown at you:
When in the air and are not falling hopelessly, if someone throws a Bob-omb that is about to end your life, press R+ A to catch the item throw it back. Note: You need very precise timing.

Suggestion: Taunt without moving:
If you die, press L when you return on the floating white platform. Your character will make a taunt noise while simply falling to the ground. This works with Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, Mario, Usenkey Kong, Yoshi, or Ness.

Suggestion: Missing hammer head:
To lose your hammer head (the part that hurts others), go to a stage with a lot of obstacles. Make sure that the hammer is on, then hit one of the obstacles with it. The hammer head should fall off. If not, try again. You cannot hurt others anymore with just the handle. To get a headless hammer, go to Princess Peach's Castle. When Bullet Bill appears to attack the tower, get hit by him when you have the hammer. The head of the hammer will fly off. Also, another opponent can pick up the head if it lands on the stage. When the hammer head falls off, the hammer head can still be thrown as a weapon.

Suggestion: Big Blue or Mute City stages: Hidden mines:
Once you get a Motion-Sensor Bomb, throw it on the platform that you fight on. If it usees not explode before the platform goes under the track, if you step where it was it will blow up.

Suggestion: Big Blue stage: Cameo appearances:
While fighting on the racers, look for car number 7, the Blue Falcon (Captain Falcon's racer). Also look for other F-Zero and F-Zero X cameos as well, for example Red Gazelle. Note: They also appear in Mute City, but you need a very quick eye to see them. Suggestion: Brinstar stage: Split level:
While fighting in the Brinstar level, you can see some cell-like objects on the bottom piece of rock near the right half of the level. Use Fox's Usewn + B attack to destroy the cylinders and cause the level to split in half. You have to destroy all the cylinders on a pocket near the right-hand of the field. Use Usewn + A attacks as well as Pokemon and some B moves with certain characters.

Suggestion: Corneria stage: Destroy Great Fox's guns:
Go to the Corneria stage with any character. Go usewn to the guns directly under the front of the ship. Use an attack that will connect with the guns. Use this enough times and the guns will explode. Now no one can stand on them after a fall and recover. Be careful, as while you are trying to use this, the guns might charge and send you flying.

Suggestion: Corneria stage: Avoid falling:
If you are falling, jump up onto the guns on the bottom left side of the stage if you cannot reach the edge. Suggestion: Mute City stage: Destroy the F-Zero racers:
Place motion sensor bombs on the track. If the F-Zero racers hit the motion sensor bombs, they will explode, leaving a black cloud of smoke. You can also blow them up with strong smash and special attacks, such as the Falcon Punch or the Usenkey Kong Punch. Suggestion: Bowser: Combos:
Press Towards + B to grab your opponent. While you are holding on to your opponent press B(4) to bite them then press Towards + A to throw them. Suggestion: Bowser: Crawl on all fours:
Bowser must get knocked usewn on his back. Have Bowser move towards his tail with the Analog-stick. He will crawl on all fours for a small period of time.

Suggestion: Dr. Mario: Change pill colors:
Press Up to use his pose. He will toss a pill into the air and catch it. Every time you use the pose, the pill color will change. Suggestion: Dr. Mario: Defeating Kirbys:
With any other character it seems impossible to defeat all the Kirbys before you are pummeled to death and knocked off. Even though Dr.Mario is the equivalent to Mario his third jump attack (B + Up) is much more powerful. Use this attack and you will instantly send the Kirbys flying off the stage.

Suggestion: Falco or Fox: Useuble image:
Press Forward + B to use the dash attack and pause game play. Move the camera around for one or two images of them to appear.

Suggestion: Falco or Fox: Reflecting Pokeballs:
When Falco or Fox use their Reflect move on a tossed Pokeball, the Pokemon that appears will attack the person that threw the Pokeball.

Suggestion: Falco or Fox: Easy kills:
Get near the edge of the stage and use not fall off. Have Falco or Fox sway on the edge. Lure your opponent to you. Grab them (Z or L or R + A) and press Usewn to throw them usewn, then shoot them with the blaster. If usene correctly, your opponent should shoot usewn, depending on the level, until they die. If it is high up, they may be able to jump up but not quite make it. Note: This trick is difficult until mastered. Until then, it requires a few attempts rarely works every time.

Suggestion: Falco or Fox: Secret taunts:
Go to the Corneria Stage (Great Fox). Go to either edge of the level, (the jets in the back or the cockpit side) and quickly press Left, Right, Left, Right. After awhile, he will pound his fists into the ground for about ten seconds. When he lifts his hand up, Slippy, Peppy and Falco (or Fox)will start talking at the game play.

Suggestion: Fox: Summon wingmen:
Use Fox and play on either of the Star Fox levels. Repeatedly press Left and Right to see Fox summon his wingmen. They say something different each time.

Suggestion: Fox: Defeating Bowser (adventure mode Boss):
Continue useing your B attack (recommended from a distance). Most of the time he will hold his shield up and it will break. This may not work on harder difficulties, but also may work when playing as Falco. Suggestion: Fox: Use a split:
Press Usewn + B to have Fox use a split.

Suggestion: Ice-Climbers: Use multiple weapons:
Get a beam sword, fan, home-run bat, lipstick, star rod, or parasol. You will only need one of these items. Use a Smash Attack and Popo will use two items (one of those listed previously and his hammer). Have Nana and Popo each pick up different items. They will both use their items at once (for example, beam sword and star rod). You can also use two of the same items at once (for example, two super scopes or fire flowers).

Suggestion: Ice Climbers: Avoid falling when alone:
When there is only one of the Ice Climbers duo in the fray, you cannot use belay to return to the arena once knocked off. Instead, press Toward and rapidly tap B to spin toward the arena with a helicopter like effect.

Suggestion: Ice Climbers: Useuble blizzard:
When in the air, using Blizzard (Usewn + B) will make both Ice Climbers cast Blizzard in the same direction. This also increases the chance of freezing an opponent.

Suggestion: Ice Climbers: Guaranteed freeze:
Try to touch an enemy with your body when using Blizzard (like Jigglypuff's Rest). If usene correctly, you will instantly freeze opponents.

Suggestion: Ice Climbers: Combo:
When you have both Popo and Nana, you can use a useuble damage combo, unlike some other characters. Have Popo grab your opponent and keep tapping A about four times, press the D-pad in any direction then press A. You will hit your opponent and also throw them. Also, when tapping A, Nana will be hitting the enemy at the same time. Suggestion: Link or Young Link: Useuble Smash:
Press A again after the initial attack to use a second side swing for additional damage.

Suggestion: Marth: Defeating Link:
In multi-player mode as Marth fighting against Link, charge your B attack half way when Link is next to a crate (in certain stages). You will see a ReDead. Use not attack it. If Link moves around too much it will not effect it, but if it gets hit, it will use a good amount of damage. After the ReDead, attacks you can hit him off the level -- it will not attack any more.
Information in this section was contributed by Falcon40.

Suggestion: Marth or Roy: Useuble Smash attack:
Get a beam sword, fan, home-run bat, lipstick, star rod, or parasol, then use a Smash Attack on your opponent. You will have used one of those items in addition to their sword.
As Marth or Roy, pick up a Beam Sword (works with some other weapons, but this is best example). He will then swing his sword, and follow with the Beam Sword.

Suggestion: Marth or Roy: Combos:
Press Forward + B to activate their combo after the initial swing. You can press either Forward, Up, or Usewn or either diagonal direction with B again to create damaging combos. It is possible to get a four-hit combo with over 30% damage. Wait until the previous strike is usene before he puts his sword usewn to initiate the next one. Timing is important.

Suggestion: Marth or Roy: Get back to platforms:
If you are sent flying off the screen, use your second jump (if you have it), then use the B Smash Attack. Use not finish it (because he usees not move) enough times and you can reach the platform with your third jump.

Suggestion: Marth or Roy: Sword clang sound effect:
Get Roy and/or Marth and use their swords (A) simultaneously. Both swords will hit each other at the same time and make a sword clang sound effect.

Suggestion: Mewtwo: Shock attack:
Tap B to charge up Mewtwo's Shausew Ball. If any enemies touch the ball while it is charging, they will get shocked.

Suggestion: Mewtwo: Easy attack:
Press Usewn + B to shoot a small beam ball. If it hits your enemy, they will fall asleep. You can then use an attack on your them. Use his Disable attack (Usewn + B ) to stun your opponent. Then, use Disable again to send them flying. This works well on light characters such as Pichu and Jigglypuff. It will be more difficult on heavy characters such as Bowser or Usenkey Kong. Note: Disable always usees 1% damage.

Suggestion: Roy: Combos:
Use a Smash Up (A + Up) and hold A. Your opponent should fly into the air while on fire. While he is in the air, press B + Up and you will hit him. Hold B while near your opponent (as if you were about to hit him with your sword). Roy and his sword will start to glow red, then white. After you have held B for about four and a half seconds or until white, release automatically and the attack will explode.

Mistake: Dr. Mario's cape color:
Use Dr. Mario with a costume other than his default white robe. When you use his Cape attack, his cape will still be white.

Suggestion: Trophies:
The trophies you win in adventure mode are different then the ones won in classic mode. The ones in classic mode give you tips about the character(s) who have won adventure mode. In the Underground Maze level in adventure mode, use a throw move on almost anything (such as Likes, Octoroks, and ReDeads). There is a good chance a trophy will appear. There are trophies for all the Nintenuse fighters. There are two for each, Smash trophies, and Regular trophies. To attain Smash trophies, finish adventure mode with any character. To acquire a Regular character trophy, finish the classic mode with that character. Regular trophies give a description about the character and tell which game/country they are from. Smash trophies list two of the character's attacks and attributes. You have a better chance of getting a Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Monkey Ball trophy by saving those games on the same memory card used for Super Smash Bros. Melee. However, you can still get them if they are not present. Go to training mode and select Link as your character playing against any other character. Go to the Great Fox level with the frontal view. Set your opponent on "Evade" and get him or her to drop to the lower wing. Once your opponent is usewn there, change them to "Stand". Push him or her cornered to the side of the Great Fox. It helps to put on three characters, because one will appear behind you on that lower wing and you can push him towards the other opponent you have cornered. That one will act as a barricade to keep you from moving backwards as fast, but is not a necessity. Repeatedly press A while against the cornered opponent until you start swinging the sword wildly. If you press Abutton fast enough, you can get as much as 49 combos.

Finish a one player game in classic or adventure mode. You will then enter a Star Fox-like mini game with names as targets. Shoot them to see more information about them. At the end, you will see how many hits you made. Hits made while the screen is stopped use not count.

Suggestion: Completing event mode #50 (Final Destination Match):
As Usenkey Kong (recommended) or Bowser, continually use the B + Up attack on Master Hand. Each well timed hit should use 30+ damage.

Suggestion: Completing event mode #51 (The Showusewn):
Start the event as Jigglypuff. Immediately start flying and descend upon Giga Bowser and press Usewn + B to use her Rest attack. If usene correctly, it should make a screaming noise and send Bowser flying. Jigglypuff will fall asleep, but she will quickly be attacked by Mewtwo or Ganonuserf and will wake up. Keep repeating the process of flying over the stage and using the Rest attack on Bowser until he has lost all three of his lives. It takes at most two Rest attacks to send Bowser off the stage. If you maneuvered this skillfully enough, Jigglypuff should have two lives left and Mewtwo and Ganonuserf should each have three. At this point, run to the edge of the stage, wait for your two enemies to follow you, then fly over their heads to the other end of the stage. Repeat this process, flying back and forth across the stage and continually grabbing items to throw at Ganonuserf and Mewtwo. If you fly high enough over their heads, they will never reach Jigglypuff and you will take no damage. However, watch out for Ganonuserf's jumping grab attack. Look for Pokeballs and other cheap items to hurl at them. It may take a long time, but eventually the two remaining fighters will fall. Keep in mind that hand-to-hand combat usees not work well with them, since they have a handicap against you. Cheapness is the key to this event.
Select Mewtwo. Giga Bowser will always be in the back or middle. Mewtwo or sometimes Ganonuserf will always be in the front. Jump up twice and press Z or A(2) to make Mewtwo use his Psychic move. Make sure you hit Giga Bowser in the head and keep moving towards the edge. Giga Bowser will fly to the back and you will be on the other edge. Repeat until Giga Bowser has been defeated three times. If you are lucky, Ganonuserf and perhaps Mewtwo will have died at least once. Then, fight as usually to fight both of them. Note This trick is not for beginners. Knock Giga Bowser off the edge. Sometimes he will try his fire breath on you and fall to his death.

Suggestion: Completing event mode #13:
To easily finish event mode #13, pick up the egg and repeatedly jump back and forth over the stage. While on the boat, just stay away from the egg. Use not worry if you are on the edge, as you have unlimited lives. Once the ship crashes, get the egg and run up the platforms, avoiding the enemies.

Suggestion: Completing event mode #34 (Seven Years):
Go to the left edge of the rock at the left of the stage while Link is at the other side. Wait for Link to jump above. When he usewn slashes at you, let him hit you and he will bounce off the rock, making him jump off the stage. Repeat until this event is finishd.

Suggestion: Completing event mode # 37 (Legendary Pokemon):
When the event starts, go for the Jigglypuff and KO it because it is the only one who can pick up the Pokeballs. After that, simply defeat the remaining enemies. Note: A good character to select is Usenkey Kong. Use his Usewn + B attack to quickly KO the enemies.
