nick has gone to work so i thought i would use this opportunity to update my
journal so that you all have something to read while us suuperrls are on
hoidays.
cairns is really nice. it has been raining a fair bit since i got here, but
today was beautiful and warm.
nick and i went for a drive up into the mountains on sunday. it was
absolutely serene. we drove up through a rainforest and at the top there was a
huge lake. so peaceful and deserted. it was beautiful. something that has
struck me about cairns is how lush and green it is.
we went to trinity beach yesterday. it was a bit miserable, so there
weren't many people around. it was a bit choppy too, so the water was kinda
brown. ewies. hehe.
i've done heaps of cd shopping, too. heaps! and nick complains about the
cd stores in cairns. *shakes head* lol. i always seem to buy a crapload of cd's when i
go on holidays. i can't help it. it is like my little treat. i save up
spending money before i go on hols, and it inevitably gets spent on
cd's. always happens that way.
nick is like famous or something in cairns. everywhere we go, he bumps into
someone he knows. he maintains he is just taking me places where he knows
people so that it seems like he is popular. i know he is lying. more
likely he is a prostitute and all these people are his clients.
omg!! we watched the most bizarre movie i have ever seen last night! it was
a german 'film' on sbs called 'killer condoms.' it was about these
genetically enhanced condoms that bite off men's penises. it was weirder
than the movie 'beyond the valley of the dolls' that i saw a few years ago.
it even had it's own theme song in german. there was a lot of gay men
(it was european after all) and an incidence of a man peeing on another man's leg. oh, and of course many,
many detatched penises. who would have thought that castration could
be so much fun!! :D

jen was supposed to fly to the gold coast with ansett yesterday. i'm still
not sure if she made it there in once piece, or even if her plane left the
ground at all. she hasn't answered my text message yet, dammit! jen if you
read this let me know you are still alive!!!
my friend sandy had a new house mate move in today. here is the series of
text messages that ensued:
sandy: new flatty moved in today!
me: ooh that was quick! what are they like? boi or grl? they had better
love beer like we do!
sandy: girl from norway. 1st yeat i.t. student
me: oooer! is she friends with any hot male norwegian porn stars!?!?
sandy: no fraid not. sorry.
me: well, what good is she then?!?!?
what good is it to have a norwegian student living with my friend if she has
no hot norweigan friends! dammit!!

i just got off the phone to brodles. yay! she is in canberra at the moment and thought she would ring me to tell me how cold it is and so that i can brag about
how warm it is here in cairns. brodie might be coming up to cairns mid year to meet up with one of her english friends. she just suggested the idea that i come up here with her when she does. i think i could be in on that. but we are going to look for a cheaper method of travel than flying. brodie just moved out of home and doesn't have the funds. it would be fun to terrorise nick together. i think the two of us combined would be rather too much for him to handle. as long as it
doesn't freak him out so much that he decides against moving down to sydney. hehe.
i just had dinner with nicky c's mummy. she told me stories. hehe watch out nicky c!!! :P
