| The Song of the Poplar Reach for the sky, Linking the passage of time. growing tall and slender, bringing the messages from the wind in the branches, tall and wide. A messenger from the skies. A shelter for the birds, moving in the wind. Allowing the breezes to carry your scent on high. You are able to reach far and wide. You have wonderful strong roots, that hold you in the storms. You are able to show us how, to bend and move in the wind. Thank you poplar for your flexibility, and the messages up high. Thank you for your understanding of the younger ones around you. You are able to help them grow, tall and graceful, moving in the wind. |
| The Song of the Kauri We live amongst the swamps. With treasures that hold many memories of old ways. Memories to be shared. We are often mistaken for our strength and fortitude.We have wisdom deep within, that has yielded to the pages, that will appear before you. We want to share our wisdom, so that you may remain, on this Earth at this time, in a way that we all gain. The kauri that is straight of limb, has within a past, that when it is embraced by humans', can bring about a change within. The kauri that is old and knarled, has triumped over trials. The weather of the past decades has left it's mark to bear. Over the years the marks will change, but not the heart within. It will enhance. |
