If the Marlins are out of the playoff hunt Cliff Floyd will be gone. They would like to unload his salary and get top prospects from either New York or Seattle. Look for the Yankees to make more of a push to get Floyd because of there bad play if right field.
Now that the Indians have traded Bartolo Colon it looks like the firesale is on and Thome is next. Thome is a free agent after this season and they afraid they woun't be able to sign him. Look for him to go to a copntender who needs help at first like Boston or Atlanta.
After another slow start this season the A's have roared back. They really need some hitting and they have plenty of prospects to give the Pirates for there star player. Pittsburgh is looking to get deeper so look for them to try to stockpile with young talent.
Rolen has been very disappointed with manager Larry Bowa and the Phillies. There is almost no way he'll resign this offseason so they would like to get something for him. The Mets hitting has not met expectations so they may make a big deal with the Phillies.
The Tigers look like they are willing to trade anyone right now. The D'Backs have been disappointed with Rick Helling so they may try to make their rotation even stronger. Boston could use some help in the starting rotation and Weaver would be a pitcher for years to come for them.
