Since first hitting the headlines nearly 3 years ago for their duties and achievements towards their respective countries it seems like not a day goes by without one of the national newspapers featuring an article on the Ambassadors.  Some cracking stories and headlines have appeared in papers ranging from The Sun to The Times and magazines from FHM to National Geographic.  But one thing is for sure where ever the Ambassadors roam the press is not far behind.  Here are the Ambassadors favourite headlines from the past 3 years, the ones that really made them laugh:

  1. The Sun - July 1998 - "Ambassador 1 Saddam 0", in reference to the elite Ambassador Unit sent in to Iraq to infiltrate and destroy Saddams army of chemical weapons.

  2. FHM - November 1998 - "Am-bed-adors", women around the world vote the Ambassadors as the most shaggable celebrities in the world.  Thanks girls but we already knew that.

  3. The Times - June 1998 - "Germany was responsible for it all!", in reference to a newspaper article vindicating the German Ambassador as the main instigator between rival football fans, which led to a riot in a dirty East End pub.

  4. The Star - December 1998 - "Chile saws Pinochet", in reference to Chile stopping the  extradition order designed to send Pinochet to a humans right courts.

  5. The Guardian - December 1998 - "The Ambassadors are too strong", criticism towards the Ambassadors as the are accused of rigging by-elects to get their supporters to force a reduction in cigarette tax.

  6. The Sport - January 2000 - "I had Millennium Kid with Germany", shock revelation hits the gutter press as a dwarf girl accuses Germany of fathering her embryo, tests cleared the German but left question marks hanging over the head of Netherlands.

  7. The Times - February 2000 - "Ambassadors To Solve Stand-still Hostage Crisis", negotiators at Stansted Airport last night called in the Ambassadors to solve the Hi-jack stand off that had developed between police and the armed captors of the Afghan Airplane.

  8. The Sun - January 2000 - "Tyson To Fight Netherlands", following claims that Netherlands had paid Tyson to throw his fights with Evander Holyfield Tyson challenged the Ambassador to step into the ring.  Netherlands sent a message back to Tyson, "Tyson the Ambassador is going to kick your teeth in, oh and you'll never be an Ambasador".
