    Yukina was born to be a special Koorime, born to have an evil twin brother. It's said that if a human makes a Koorime pregnant, an evil child will be born and that's how Yukina got a evil twin brother.
    Her twin brother - Hiei - became her only relative after their mother's death, so she decides to search after Hiei, since he was thrown away by the others when he was born. The reason was that the evil child will destroy the entire Floating Kingdom of the Koorime . Soon after, Yukina and Hiei's mother died.
    During Yukina's searching after her brother, she got captured by Tarukane, a rich and awful man. This man found out that all Koorime had a special ability. They could produce ice pearls, which are very rare and valuable. The pearls are produced by the Koorime's tears and every Koorime will get an ice pearl when they bear a child, then the ice pearl would be given to the child.
    Hiei found out that Yukina was captured by Tarukane through Koenma - son of the ruler of Reikai. Koenma let him know this, but didn't let him save Yukina by himself, as he will kill a lot of humans when rescuing his sister. Urameshi Yusuke - main character in Yu Yu Hakusho - was the one to save Yukina from Tarukane. But still Hiei followed them.
    When Yukina was saved, she met Hiei, but did not know that he was her brother and Hiei kept that as a secret. This secret was then kept until the end...
    Kuwabara Kazuma - the only human of the four main characters - already fell in love with Yukina when he first met her, but Yukina never understood that and rather seem to take him as a brother than a lover.     Yukina's life isn't the best one can get, but she is a very positive and glad person and will really give you the feeling of that she is a very sweet and kind girl.
