| Seems we're getting ready for winter, or so I've been told I don't have to worry, cause Cowboy's grown quite bold He came here packing two guns, and I thought that was enough Now he's gone and bought two more, and he's gotten really tough |

| Now he's been practicing to be a real good shot Far be it I tell him, that's one thing he's not Thank God he t'aint got horses for him to ride I think I'd never see him again, they wear down his hide |

| So if you see this Cowboy, will you please tell him to come home He's got too much to do now, so he can't go off and roam Fences need to be mended, and the fishes need to be fed If he t'aint careful around here, they soon might find him dead |
