My name is Irina Barkovskaya, I am an artist - ceramist. I live in Moscow, Russia. After graduating from Moscow Higher School of Arts (the former Stroganovskoye School) in 1967 I worked in the ornamental plastic arts, making floor vases, reliefs in ceramics intended for the interiors of public buildings, such as Moscow House of Cinema, Moscow Institute of Beauty, "Cosmos" Hotel, etc. Since 1966 I have participated every year in Moscow, Republican, all-union and International exhibitions (over 50).

I am a member of the Union of Artists of Russia from 1973.My favorite genre - animal sculptures (material: fire-clay, majolica, faience). My works are in the reserves of the All Russia Museum of Decorative Applied Art, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Ministry of Culture of Russia, Union of Artists of Russia, etc., and in private collections.

In 2002 the honorary title the "Deserved Artist of Russia" is given to me by the decree of the President of Russia !

My husband Yury Novitskiy and I love animals very much. Dogs live in our house more than 20 years. Here you may see Page in memory of Descent's friend - our middle asian dog "SAID".
And we have Exotic and Persian cats more than 10 years. All our cats live free as our friends with us in our large country house. In the summer they can enjoy walking in a garden and catching butterflies. We have only a few cats and all our cats have an excellent pedigrees with best CFA lines. We are very proud to announce:

At the 2001-2002 show season our Brown tabby Exotic male Profecii's French Descent in Russia has become 9-th Best Cat and 3-rd Best Exotic in the International Division and 2-Nd Best Brown Tabby Exotic National, and has won a title Division Winner (DW) !

In the CFA history he is only second cat who lives in Russia and has got this title!

At the huge show in Moscow "The Grand Prize of Royal Canin" (more than 700 cats) at 21-22 December 2002 our GC DW Profecii's French Descent in Russia has become 3-rd Best allbreed cat of the year 2002 in Russia and Best Longhair Cat of the year 2002 in Russia!

So beautiful ending of his show career!!

Now  his beautiful sons GIC Sybarit Agat and GIC Sybarit Bernie are among the winners of the "Cup of Hill's-2002" and the "Cup of Hill's-2003"!
