Ani's new double album is what fans have anticipated as the next Living In Clip. This collection of outstanding live performances titled "So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter" was released on September 10th.

Ani goes solo!

Well, it's official folks. Ani has split with her band. She's begun a solo tour without the band she recorded "So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter" with. Here is what Ani herself had to say...

"When I first gathered the horn section, there was a constant sense of energy and movement; we were collectively creating all these arrangements, and there was always a new song, or a new arrangement of an old song. It was a thrill for me to be learning from other musicians and from working with new instruments. Then there was the experience of being a bandleader, which is a whole other bag of donuts; in order to keep 6 people imporvising well together, somebody has to be leading it, and i was very inspired by that job. Now i've decided to go solo and conserve a little energy and refocus. But I love my band so much, and I'm very sad that this is kind of a posthumous album for a band that will no longer be."

Today is the 2nd anniversary of this site. While it began nameless and disorderly, it was just yet another place for fans to find the info they needed on miz DiFranco. During the time a few other Ani sites shut down, the name "Pulse" came up as the appropriate title. Since fans recognize it as Ani's longest song, it suited the site well. I'd like to keep it up as long as possible, or as long as geocities offers free webhosting. Even if their terms of service change this, I'd get a domain for my sites. This, along with opening up the new photo galleries, is my main goal right now. I have some awesome plans in the works for Pulse, it's only a matter of time and learning to overcome procrastination. I've been behind on a lot lately, from artwork requests to catching up on email. Again, sorry the galleries aren't up yet. Motivation is unpredictable, but I guarantee you that once it strikes I don't stop until I'm completely satisfied with the results. Remember to bookmark this site and try back every once in awhile, I tend to sneak updates in without mentioning them here.

Sorry for the lack of updates...it's been awhile, I know. RBR replied to me shortly after I contacted them, and as you all probably know by now, she will be releasing a two-hour film. "Render" will feature fifteen songs from various live performances. The DVD will feature a bonus performance of "In the Way". You can preorder a copy from the kind folks at Righteous Babe.

This album (perhaps live) will feature songs such as Here For Now, Icarus, Educated Guess, Promised Land among many others. Release date is scheduled for April 9th, 2002. There have been rumors circulating her new material. Most are positive this will be her second live album. Others have heard there will be a DVD release. I will contact RBR tonight for further information. :-)

Ah, changes...for almost two years, I've been working very hard on this website.. I was having trouble with bandwith on this account which forced me to delete a great deal of pictures in my gallery. I am quite aware that a lot of popular Ani sites have shut down since mine has been up, so I have dedicated this to those who need information that Righteous Babe doesn't yet offer. In addition, I have provided you with some brand new links to a few personal favorites on the web, where you can find some other informative and up-to-date Ani sites. Another big change are the faster loading times...No background wav files or slow-loading images on each page.
