| My future I want to study to be an architect. I like Jaraguá, but I want to live in another city and see some countries. I’d like to see new things and to meet people. I’m going to get married with a good husband and have two or three children. I’m going to live in a big and comfortable house. I want to meet famous people and if I can, I want to be famous too. | My Future In the future I’m going to study in the University, because for me it is very important to have culture. I’m going to work in my city. I am an accountant. I like it. I’m going to buy a comfortable house. I don’t know when, but I’m going to buy it. I’m going to move to another city, because of my husband’s job. I know I’m going to be homesick and I going to miss my friends. My husband and I prefer to live in Goiânia, because of our daughters’ school. I don’t like to make plans for the my future... | The Future My future is now, but I’d like to have a new life. In the new millennium I hope my life changes. I’m going to learn other languagues. I’m going to make a Masters in epidemiology. It’s my goal for the next year, after I finish my English course. I’m going to buy a new car and I’m going to build my swimming pool, too. I’d like to travel around the world with my family, and see new places, meet new people and other cultures. I’d like to see France; specially the Louvre Museum and I’d like to cross the English Channel under the sea until England. I’d like to see Italy, Egypt, Indian, and German too. And make a boat trip from the Greek Islands to The Oceanic Islands. I love to see beaches. I have many plans for my future and I hope all of then came true. These are my wishes. | Yesterday and Today When I was a child I could play all day long but today I can’t anymore. I could mess around but I can’t now. I liked to hunt cats and run on the streets. I broke many windows glasses; I was a back street boy. I didn’t work and I didn’t have money. Today, I can’t ride bikes and can’t hunt cats. If I break a window I have to pay for it. I can work, work and work. Today, I’m happy, but yesterday I was pretty happier. By Jorge Jr. |
| When I was a kid. When I was a kid I used to play ball games and I used to eat ice cream with my cousins. I played with little stones. I loved to play it very much. When I was a kid I used to fight with a boy. I was a little devil. I was a ballet student. Nowadays I am a ballet teacher. I love to teach ballet. I learned to drive recently, but with my practice, I can drive very well today. In the past I dreamed about studying English, but I didn’t have money. Now my dream is coming true. I couldn’t ride a bike when I was a kid. Now I can ride a bike everyday to work. I could make children theater now I can’t. I was a happy kid. Now I am a very happy woman, and you? By Rosângela |
| Now and Past Now I can do a lot of things that I couldn1t in the past. I can go out with my friends at night and stay at the pub or in the parties until daybreak, and my parents don’t object. But I can’t request money for my father because I work and have mine. I can travel alone. I can choose my friends, my school and the food that I like to eat, my mother forced me to eat liver or cabbage, and I hated it! I can watch TV for many hours at night. I can spend my money with things that I like. But today I can’t wake up late, I can’t lie, I can’t believe in Santa Claus, I can’t stay in my grandmother’s lap.
