Dragon Form

• Hide/Scales
Greta has a peculiar sheen about her, almost oily or pearly in appearance. Overall her colors are similar to an emperor penguin's: deep, beetle-black boarders crisp white below, on both belly and the insides of her legs. At either side of her throat is a yellowy patch, vaguely triangular in shape that follows the line of her throat along the boarders of black and white. Her hind-paws are a fleshy-apricot color.

• Eyes
Vivid, deep cherry-red eyes appear almost velvety in texture, yet are keen and in even the harshest weather (and sunlight). Her nightvision is somewhat poor however, though her ability to distinguish contrasting black-and-white in low-light is good.

• Appearance
Greta is a smallish dragon with a compact body that has amazing ability to stretch and twist in the air - and the water. Her shoulders and thighs are very muscular, as are her neck and chest, giving her great stamina. Her body is streamlined, from the fin-like spines down her neck, to the shape of her short yet wide wings, to her slightly flattened, long tail.

Animal Form

• Feathers/Skin
Similar to her draconic self, Greta the Penguin is nearly pitch-black above, ivory below. This separation of color is more even however, stretching over chest, coloring flippers, and curving over her belly. It may not sound like much, but the overall shape of a penguin makes all the difference. At her throat, the patch of yellow seen in the dragon is almost rosey at its darkest, fading more gradually into the ivory with an egg-yolk yellow. Her feet in this form are black, which helps keep her featherless toes just a bit warmer.

• Eyes
Brown eyes are what this penguin has. They are best-suited for underwater viewing and underwater colors (blues, greens, violet), otherwise she is nearsighted. Forget distances, you might as well give her thick-lensed glasses.

• Appearance
As a penguin she is, in all honesty, shaped like a bowling pin. No that is not very flattering in that context. However, it is extremely beneficial for the survival of said penguin. A strong chest on a streamlined body makes for strength and speed, something desperately needed when up against a hungry seal. Her flippers, or wings, whichever you prefer, are long and slender. She and all penguins seem to fly through the water. Her beak seems almost too narrow for eating fish, but it is quick and sharp, her claws powerful, and her neck surprisingly long!

Personality

• Attitude
A positive outlook on life does not keep Greta from dead-on realism. She is quick to realize when a situation is going to be over her head, so to speak, or when to cut her losses. Not that she should be counted as even remotely cowardly or dishonest, in fact she is fiercely loyal and truthful with those she cares about. Perhaps to extremes at times even, when she mentions that, "your project will never get off the ground," and invariably she is right. Playful and loving, she enjoys life whenever and however she can, from taking a day for herself or just stopping to admire the scenery. A motherly and nurturing figure, she likes to take care of "little" ones, though they may not be hers...or her species...or all that young for that matter.

• Likes/dislikes
Greta loves bright and pastel colors, glitter, sno-cones and ice-cream. She has a strange habit of picking up ski caps (complete with pom-pom) and matching scarfs, then putting them on. She will wear them around the halls and outside until she is caught and is forced to make a break for it.

• Hobbies
Greta has always enjoyed watching auroras, or the Northern Lights. The natural light show has always fascinated her, and she will rarely hesitate to sit down and watch. She also loves to toboggan penguin-style, play ice hockey for dragons, and diving for dingbats (in other words, crazy-athletic types) among other highly athletic activities.
