RELATIONSHIPS Keitaro Urashima Tama is a good friend to Keitaro. He helps out Keitaro in times of need, like that dummy picture in Tama's outfits, and he encourages him when it is time for the exams. ^_^ He stands with everybody at the door waving a sign that says "Mi". Keitaro is Tama's owner and was given to him by Mutsumi. Tama likes to sit on Keitaro's head better than enyone elses' I think. Tama is always flying around Keitaro or plopping on his head or shoulders. They are both good friends. Naru Narusegawa Tama likes Naru a lot too. Not as much as Keitaro, but he does hang around Naru a lot. He's around to cheer her up or he puts on a study headband with her to help her study. He even came with her on a plane to Pararakesu Island! He usually stays on her shoulders instead of her head. Tama is just about as good a friend to Naru as to Keitaro. Mutsumi Otohime Being Tama's original owner, Mutsumi is very close to Tama-chan. They hang around together a lot. Tama knows Mutsumi well enough so that when Mutsumi came back to Japan, Tama knew where she was going to be! Tama knows that Mutsumi isn't his owner anymore, but they're still friends. They act very alike if you look in the Uses of Tama section. They both like watermelons a lot too. ^_^;; Motoko Aoyama Motoko hates turtles and is afraid of them. I have no idea how she can hate a little flying hot springs turtle like Tamago. Motoko usually just tries to avoid Tama or if he gets too close, she gets her sword out and pushes him away! Poor Tama. It's obvious Tama and Motoko don't get along. Tama-chan is a "Stalker Turtle" in the anime. Poor Tama is attracted to Motoko and when he did the bare-handed sword block, it crushed Motoko. Poor Tama... poor Motoko... O_o; Shinobu Maehara Tama and Shinobu are friends. They don't talk much in the anime or the manga, but they get along fine. When everyone thought Tama was missing, Tama was actually sitting on top of Shinobu's head the whole time! He sits only on Shinobu's head, not her shoulders. They're ok friends. ^_^ Kaolla Su Tama is the target of Su's hunger. She tries to catch him or cook him whenever possible. Usually Tama stays away from Su, and hangs around Naru or Keitaro, but when Su is near, Tama is in trouble. Su unleashes a Mecha Tamago or some kind of machine to catch Tama. She tried to cook him a number of times too. Once again, poor Tama. Although in the anime, they talk to each other a lot. I think Su likes Tama-chan much better in the anime... Mitsune Konno {Kitsune} Tama and Kitsune don't talk or hang around much at all. They wave at each other once in a while. But when Tama runs away or is in trouble, Mitsune is just as worried as anyone else and goes out looking for him. So maybe they're just aquaintances... ^_^;; Haruka Urashima Tama and Karuka really don't know each other well, but they do hang out. Tama went shopping with Haruka and he sits on her head sometimes. But they don't really talk much. Seta Noriyasu Tama played the part as one of Seta's imps in the play, and he was with Seta on Pararakesu Island, but thats just about it. Seta worked with a ton of giant turtles that looked a lot like Tama on Pararakesu island, and he knew that one of the turtles had taken a liking to Tama. ^_^ But they don't really know each other well. Sara McDougal Tama and Sara play a lot with Su and Shinobu. All the "little kids" of Hinata Dorm like to play with Tama-chan. He flies around and they try to catch him or they all explore the secret Passages in the Inn. They're pretty good friends. ^_^ {HOME}
