"How much can you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?"
Fitness boxing covers a wide variety of training techniques including: heavy bag/speed bag work, jump roping, kickboxing, hand-speed drills, burpees, medicine ball drills, jogging, sprints, and sparring. As you can see, boxing conditioning alone will provide more than enough cardio work for any individual seeking better fitness and/or body composition levels. Not to mention the fact that you'll be learning how to defend yourself along the way.
If you're interested in adding boxing into part of your own cross-training program. I would highly suggest using these sites listed below to aid in developing correct technique before you begin any regimen.

Here is a mp3 I made for sparring and heavy bag sessions. It has eight 2min. rounds with 1min. rest between round. There is also a whistle signaling 30sec. left in each round and a clap signaling 10sec. left in each rest period. Enjoy!
